This guy changes money on the corner by the cigar bar.Nice guy and was trying to get a little more work by catching some airport fares.

809-370-4721 or see him right on that corner everyday. He has a nice little blue toyota that is always parked right around that corner somewhere.
Go earlier and stay in a cabaņa or be prepared to hang out at the airport for a few hours because there's nada past early evening......until about 6:20 pm and the next (listed, official) bus is 5:15 am although there is a "middle of the night" about 3:00 am "fuck bus" that appears on no schedule I've ever seen... but I've driven chicas to Charamicos to catch it...

When you can think of yesterday without regret and tomorrow without fear, you are near contentment.
Your opinions are not my problem...
You must take a taxi from the us station to the airport. It used to be about 500 pesos but I believe it's more now. Been a long time since I've done that but Naptime might know. Still the easiest cost effective way. Under 1000 pesos "door to door". a taxi direct would be a lot more although the guy Naptime recommends seems very reasonable and reliable.
The taxis are trying to get 700 pesos, from STI to metro or Caribe (same street), but if you hold your ground, they will take 600. They will not go for 500, but you can try. I tried the old "my Santiago friend is picking me up in an hour, but I dont want to wait for him" made the fake fon call and all, but it didnt work. They hold fast at 600,even arguing among each other, not to take the 600.
Nap did say he had a guy for 500. The fare used to be 400-450 but no more.
