    Sosua's reputation

I'm going on my first trip to DR. I have a work colleague that is from DR and goes back often to visit. If I tell her than I'm going to Sosua, will she know why I'm really going?

(Btw, this is only a co-worker, but I still don't want to make it obvious why I'm going)

    Re: Sosua's reputation

Most women in the US are on to why we go to DR for that matter.

Some guys have women that just pretend to believe they go there just to play golf, fish (bass, trout, not chocha), or experience the culture.

Have a great trip, make us proud and give us a report!

    Re: Sosua's reputation

I personally think it has a reputation, but that's just my opinion not really based on anything. They have their own whorehouses and things like that all over the country so I think dr itself has a reputation but whether sosua has a more notorious rep for it that's more commonly known to the average person, I don't know.

Lookin forward to see responses here. I know another member posted a similar question about excuses or bringing it up to others.

There are 6 single women living in my courtyard. 4 are fat, in their late 30's, one is fat with three lids in her 40's and the last is okay and in her late 20's. The one in her late 20's, I see with a guy all the time and the others, never.

We will become a nation of single fat women not getting any, hating on us.

Tell her that you are going to Punta Cana.

If she insists on seeing your passport, tell her you are going to Puerto Plata and staying at an all-inclusive in Playa Dorada.

That's what I always have said. Its bad because my parents are going to Punta Cana. I am glad I never told them I went their because I have not been to that side of the island.

Obviously that's an option...but maybe not available to him.
Depends on what he shares or has shared previously with the co-worker.

I have a co-worker that I've known for 10 years. We know all kinds of personal shit about each other..we talk all day long.
You can't just turn that off because you're going on vacation.

If she was from the DR...how could I just not mention that I went to her birth country for Vacation? The shit will come out eventually..just kill it now with a simple BS story.

Cabarete is 10 minutes down the road from Sosua..and is the "Kite Surfing Capital of the World"...tried it..hated it..hung on the beach..end of story...easily plausible.

These days you can get fired for any reason at all and if it gets around that you travel for whores, you may be done fast!

Haha. She is a friend. Used to be my manager, but I got promoted a while back and now we are on the same level. She will probably ask me where I went and what I did, out of curiousity, not being nosy or judgemental. I just don't want to feel shame (or have her lose respect for me) if I tell her about Sosua and her knowing full well what goes on there. LOL

(BTW-I'm not afraid for my job. I'm a huge asset here, my job is safe. And she would not spread any rumors behind my back. I had her back a few times already in my 10+ years here.)

Talk about the food and how you were able to eat like a king
Talk about the people and how fast they speak spanish and you just said, "si"
Talk about the attention that you got for being a foreigner.
Talk about how they drive in the DR
Talk about sleeping on the beach because it was so peaceful and that nobody messed with you.
Talk about how hard it is to dance to spanish music and that your hips were tired.

    So much to say.
