Is that before or after they gouge you with the baggage fees?

Spirit is only good if you live near Fort Lauderdale. Because then you might actually be able to cheap enough to offset all of the other shit they put you through.

I could see not wanting to drive 3 hours and then having to pay to park your car somewhere and the hassle. But have you thought of flying from orlando to ft. lauderdale. then a new trip to the DR. I get spirits stupid emails all the time and they advertise the fees as like 9 or 22 bucks for orlando to ft. lauderdale.

Re: sti and sdq on spirit

Its important to look at the bottom line with spirit. They do everything all thr other airlines do a little of to nickle and dime you, but it still cheaper then everyone else.

I dont agree with their business practice of having so many rules but they clearly explain them to you.

You have to read everything when buying the ticket. It seems like 95% of the cimplaints about spirit could have been avoided by the consumer ir have happened with any other airline.

Spirit is a bunch of douchebags though, but i am a loyal customer and investor

    Check symbol SAVE

ripping people off equals high profits i guess for idiots like myself who just want a cheap ticket

    Thanks jim.

See all the spirit hate I've been hearing has me real interested in flying them sometime. I might try to get to fll and then fly spirit from their main base, if I can get a good deal to fll or something free.

Sti and sdq are good deals though can't complain at all about those prices. Lucky florida folks

Well if you stay at the Mansion and hang with RL chicas, you could spend $400 or $500 a day.

yes I have tried and tried and the cheapest is like $410.48....
I was a big fan of Spirit when they first started out........
cheap airfare and none of that nickel and dime stuff.......
since this new CEO showed up in 2006 for Spirit........
flying with them has become costly and it's like being on cattle wagon.....it stinks...

and the last time I flew with them.....it took them three tries to land in Tampa during a rainstorm......
felt like we were on a roller coaster........haven't flown with them again

Re: sti and sdq on spirit

tampa bay to sdq for an 8 night trip is 288 arriving at 4:13 in the middle of the DAY, not night like most spirit flights. If tampa bay aiprot isnt your cup of tea, MCO is only 5 dollars more.

But if you want a flight to FLL its only 65 for a roundtrip flight which is another spirit flight. the 65 dollar flight is from TPA or MCO.

(all of the above $$ include taxes, fees. besides spirits luggage fees)

You got it made. you can fly for less then 300 bucks with a good arrival time. Granted your not going get a free drink, and window seat, and unless you want to only bring a small backpack will have to pay for your carry on and/or luggage but you got it made. I could do 5 minutes of research of some shitty midwestern towns and show you some crazy fees b/c there is a hub monopoly and no second tier airport close by.

now granted living in miami or ft. lauderdale sounds a lot better then orlando tho

Took them 3 times to land in a rainstorm they got you there in one piece, that could have happened with any airline no? At least they didn't charge you 3 times to land.
