Chicas of Puerto Plata? I know this thread was started many years ago, before Mr. Camaro was one of our brethren; but if it was started now it would be titled Camaro's chicas! He has had them all; after all, jajaja

It is very interesting to see all the old names that used to post that we never hear from again.

Wonder what hat happened to some of these old posters??

agreed. A 'where are they now' thread would be kind of cool.........if we could get them back.

Focus? More like freedom of movement (as in plenty of time off, preferably of the paid variety) a good bit of fun money and nothing more pressing going on in this stage of one's life. This is after all, just a stage in most of our lives.

    Life goes on.

Exactly ... to both of these. I take "focus" in Jimmy's case to mean such a hunger for exotic punani that you're willing to plan your vacations around it, even pretty-near planning your life around it -- and the greater the hunger, the greater the focus.

At the same time, you've got to get there ... which requires freedom of movement, fun money, and the ability and willingness to disengage from "normal life" and fly away in pursuit of those exotic delights.

How far can you push that? It depends on you, and your circumstances, doesn't it? Some of us play Weekend Warrior close to home; some of us fly halfway around the world, for weeks at a time; some of us spend half the year in their favorite destination, and some of us live full-time in punani paradise. It all depends on your life, your means, your circumstances -- as the Pinays say, "Up to you, sir!"

kids cost money, that is true, but if you do it right , it's money well spent.

I get such a joy watching my daughter grow and become her own woman every day, so proud of her, it is a joy to spend what money I have on her, to help her find herself, certainly has fulfilled a space in my life, that would have been open and unfulfilled without her. Watching her spread her wings, and become her own person right now she is working for the democratic party getting persons in the DR to vote, have been here 9 years first time I voted since I have been here and she did it! Got me involved in the process again, very proud now waiting for where she goes from here. Having said that I have done it, doing it , don't need to do it again. I am done!

Stuff like this makes my life so enjoyable, doing same shit I would have done in the states, plus the young punani, that is all over the place, doesn't get better than this!

My main point is, a guy doing the same job as you, making the same as you, having no kids should have at least the amount that you spent on your kid saved someplace.

No excuse for him spending 100% of his earnings year after year.

Nature abhors a vacuum. There's always g oing to be some material need or want to drain expendable income.

A guy with family needs is much more likely to be a careful spender/ saver than a guy with no family responsibilities.

Rainy days hurt a lot more when they affect your loved ones. We learn not to allow that to happen. It's a survival instinct.

Guys who are single and rich with no kids will never have enough money. A working class man with all his bills paid and his family taken care of with a little to save/ invest wants for nothing. A smile on his kid's face while they sleep is worth more than gold to him.
