    La Ponderosa

    Great Samana Langosta.
A little expensive at 900 pesos per pound but it is excellent and worth it.
    Comes with rice or fries.
Garlic shrimp were good 350 for 5.
Bread is too hard but some were okay when dipped in the garlic sauce.
    No taxes added.

900 pesos per pound is expensive but looks like a fun place to try. I like seeing the chica hold the lobster. Thanks for sharing

Though it is expensive, I've always found the food to be pretty good. I just wish I could find a place there in POP where they would steam the lobster instead of grilling it.

I don't know what lobster would usually be charged out at, but seeing as there are no taxes added at the end it may not be so bad.
Looks like you get live lobsters in tanks too. There is, or was, a place on the beach in Caberete that has lobster in a pool in front of the restaurant, but I have never tried it so can't compare the price.

Yeah, I guess it's a regional preference as I can't imagine it would take anymore effort to steam it than it does to grill it. If I could find some steamed clams or lobster, and dipped in butter, I would literally take a day and just sit and eat and drink beer.
