    Hello,

I would appreciate it if someone could recommend a ST cabana in Santo Domingo?

In san isidro, you will find about 30 cabanas packed one on top of another.
    Andromeda is also very good.

    Quick question

Where are the best cabanas in SD. Also do they have any safe deposit boxes for your valuables? And one last thing, how far away from each other are they , and can you smoke in them ?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

You can smoke cigarettes just about anywhere in the DR, even fine hotels still have ashtrays in the halls and near the elevators.

On the Malecon heading west there are many Cabanas. My pick is Honeymoon Cabanas. You have to bang a U-Turn as this Cabana is on the waterside.

    Re: Cabana Recommendations in SD

The cabanas in San Francisco are very nice indeed, but a little too far from the action in Santo Domingo!

If you are in Santo Domingo, the two main options for cabanas are West of Santo Domingo, on the Malecon, and the cabanas in San Isidro. There are more cabanas in San Isidro. But, if you are west of the Ozama River, the Malecon cabanas are a little bit quicker and easier to find.

For S/T, most of them will run you around 300-500 pesos for the economy, and around 500-800 for the executive suites. L/T is more, and each place has it's own price structure for all night. It also depends on what time you arrive.

If you're want to spend the night in a cabana, Tia Tania will be one of the cheapest. Tia Tania is not in San Isidro, however, it's in the group of cabanas on the west end of Santo Domingo on the malecon.

Tia Tania, BTW, is built where the old Petite Chateau was many years ago. One of the best whorebars in it's day.
I have always like Mar Azul. At one time, it was the nicest of the bunch out that way.

I'm going to try to attach a map that will give you an idea of where each is located, in relation to the city.
