    Re: Hotel Don Antonio

I stayed there back in March and had a pretty decent stay. I can't remember the room #, but it was second floor corner room and I stepped outside the door I could look to the right and see Rumba. At first it seemed like too much construction or road noise from the main road and then I closed that bathroom door and never had any trouble sleeping.

    Re: Hotel Don Antonio

I really wanted a room with a kitchen so I chose the kitchen over AC since in March it gets cool at night.

Close to the strip, Don Antonio has the best priced rooms with a kitchen @ $35 per night. Maybe Delfin (across from big Playero) is the same, but I've never seen their rooms.

The roof where the bar was, was caving in. They tore that whole spot down and are rebuilding it and adding more rooms on top. The pool is drained and they are doing constant work everyday. Sorry, I did not take pics.

    Re: Hotel Don Antonio

I haven't been there in a while but it was my place of choice for a long time when I would visit Sosua, before I started going to Rick's place, Sosua Suites. The manager is top notch, and the accomodations were good for the price, never had a complaint there, besides the lack of towels, I like to have multiple chicas or a happy hour every now and then, and because some stole some towels they didn't do that, for a while you had to leave a deposit for extra towels which was cool, because when you left you got your deposit back, but then they stopped doing that, don't know their policy now.

If you want a very very reasonable price place on the strip, in my opinion, it can't be beat.

Will be at Don Antonio's in a couple weeks. I will post some photos of the facilities in their current condition as well as current prices. Last year when I was there they had been painting and sprucin' up the place. I think Don Antonio's is a GREAT value for the price and location. Between Rocky's and Don Antonio you should be able to find something within your budget.

December 2012 pics of Don Antonio Hotel room. Clean joint, hot water always, (don't have to hit a switch for water to heat up) affordable. My room had good WIFI. Best to request a room with good signal also I try to stay away from the main street. No major bells and whistles regarding DA but its a clean and economical hotel. My place near the strip now.

Thanks for the update. One of my wings is staying there next month. I'm guessing the construction that was going on some time ago, perhaps last year, has been completed or at least the pool is usable again?

Thanks for the pics guys. I'm gonna be at Don Antonio's in a couple of weeks and booked a room in the newly renovated wing. Does anyone have any pics or experience with one of those rooms? Also, the pool and bar are all new and look great!

The entrance to this place is on that side street coming from the gas station/metro bus heading to the clubs.
