President Danilo Medina, via decree 536-12, has appointed six deputy ministers in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and two advisors to the Executive Branch.

The new deputy ministers are Hector Vinicio Mella Garrido, Industrial Development; Marcelo Antonio Puello, Free Zones and Special Regimes; Anina M. Del Castillo Cazano, Domestic Trade; Ignacio Mendez, Small and Medium-sized Businesses; Yahaira Sosa Machado, Foreign Trade and Lizandro Lembert Varona, Mines and Energy.

In the same decree, Evelyn Katrina Naut Sencion was designated as Director General of External Trade and Administration of International Commercial Treaties (Dicoex), at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

In addition, the President appointed Fernando Ceballos as industrial advisor and Geovanny Leyba as trade advisor.
