In the last 24 hours, the police have killed six people suspected of committing crimes. One was in Santiago, Jose Joel Garcia Rodriguez who was in possession of a gun, and who already has several convictions for drugs, robbery and illegal weapons possession.

They also killed Walys Garcia Lopez and Johanser Arias Martinez who were supposedly involved in robbing passengers leaving Las Americas airport, and three more in Escalereta on the road from Luperon to Puerto Plata, only known as "Rafael Fey", "Jose Luis El Rubio" and "Nisael El Compa".
