    Warning ISOC Mobile Alternative

Forum Runner has an agreement with vBulletin.

    http://www.forumrunner.net/

The app costs $1.99 at the Apple/Android stores.

I was wondering if anyone uses it for other forums and if there is any interest?

PS. You can get a read only version for free at the stores and check out various forums.

BTW Anyone can use the Mobile Version on your PC at home to see what it looks like, just select it at the bottom left of any page.

tapatalk is the big one...3 out of the 6 boards i frequent use that as their mobile solution.
Pass out at 3, wake up at 10, go out to eat then do it again.

For the price of Tapatalk I would prefer a hardware upgrade on the server and let the users use the new Mobile style.

They are just stupid with their pricing, $4,000 for what we would need!

I thought Tapatalk is free for forum owners. So there is still no mobile app that ISOC supports?

What is the difference in using tap a talk versus the regular web page, other than the looks. Does it use less bandwidth??

    Re: ISOC Mobile Alternative

For me on my Android phone the site that comes up is the same as the site that comes up when I pull it up on my computer. I LOVE THAT. I used to hate the Mobile version of the site that is just text. I don't know about forum runner but I wouldn't want to change from what the board looks like on my phone now.

They show images too.. The problem with the full site is that the font is so microscopic on the phone and you have to zoom in and out and scroll around.. Quite annoying!

With an app, the font opens up the right size and it fits in the screen perfectly.

I am with dd on this. Site works better than the moblie version which sucks.

Hioctane, don't know what type of phone you have but the font size is fine on my phone. I don't have to expand the look on my phone much at all.

Me Too I agree I dont have to expand much at all. It seems to fit the page just fine too.

I do remember a time I had to scroll but I had a different phone. I wonder if it depends on what type of smart phone your using and the OS on it.

I have an iphone 5. When the page loads, the whole width of the page fits on the screen and the font is microscopic.

Are you saying you can navigate the site without pinching and scrolling left and right? Or do you have an eagle eye and can comfortably read size 2 font?

cool down buddy. it is really not that serious. but yes, my s3 is able to go through threads without having to scroll left and right. apparently, DD does not have that issue on his droid phone as well. no eagle eye needed. maybe your phone has a smaller screen than mines.

    seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
