    Question gas ???? whats the problem........

    I got lucky .. today .. 3 hrs. in line and 22.00 to fill my tank. like I said whats the problem and who has a solution.........

    The problem is probably a combination of a lot of factors after Sandy hit NYC.
    One of these factors is that the subway system is out, so a lot more cars ( private and cabs) on the streets, which means a lot more gas needed....
    It sucks big time....

    A lot of areas are still without power so a lot of stations are not open. Tankers are slower making deliveries because of the delays. Everyone is going to the same gas stations till more stations get power and/or get refueled.

    It's good that you got gas. I, like several others waited 3 hours or so and followed the line around the block and got to the pump only to discover no gas was being sold, the station never opened. That was this past Thursday. I was glad just to make it home without running out. Now I have to wait until the situation gets somewhat normal before I can move my car for fear of running out waiting in line or looking for an open station. I'm not sure how this even/odd day think in Jersey is working since they started it yesterday.
