Some NY officers make decent cash.
I forget which county/city on Long Island, but they average 100k plus before OT.

The only Port Authority cops that make LESS than 100k are rookies or those that have no interest in making more money.
Many do better than 150k per year.
There are a some that do better than 200k per year.

So with savings, partners, and a healthy pension...seems very do-able to me.

But as was stated...seems like a bad investment.

The real question is are they charging the chicas to get into Classicos? They can get away with charging the guys, but the cheap chicas will go straight to D Latin if they have to pay a cover. If all the chias are in D Latin, then the guys will follow.

Ask yayow which county that is...The same one where I pay $10K per year in property taxes for an unsellable condominium.

Well that's good to hear, I was in town on Jan. 2 and Jan 3, a Weds and Thurs, and there was absolutely nobody there. Merengue wasn't much better, but probably it is better on the weekends, at least I hope.

You looking to buy? Great location! 1 block away from LIRR. 34 minute ride into Penn Station. I'll sell it to you at the exact same price I bought it in 2006 (which is still $50K more than what it's worth today).

Re: 12/2012 - Looks like Classicos has reopened

Walked pass there a couple of times last week. It's dead! Same with El Toro (formerly Latinos). A few cats sitting in Merengue but the crowds are at DLatin and Rumbas. It's a shame to go from where it was to where it is. It seems it'll be hard for them to make a comeback now. Don't know how true it is but I heard the owner gets a piece of the DLatin action. Still seems to be a stupid move to lose all the business and now get a split with someone else.
