Not if you don't fly 20 times a year, every year.

If things work out, I will be down to 2 or 3 trips a year, but they will be a month long trip.

It accounts for hours of service, but like the site says.. doublecheck!

Once in Penn Station, take the LIRR (24/7).. up to $8.75 (peak)..about 40 minutes.. (E train is at least 1.5 hours.. on a good day!) Take any train to Jamaica. From there $5 airtrain to JFK.
and NJ transit is 12.50. So that is pretty much your totals right there.

I noticed this today as the Airtrain was not stopping at the terminals today

There is a bus that goes directly from Newark airport to Port Authority (42nd and 8th avenue). First bus out is at 4am from EWR to Manhattan. They have 3 stops but Port Authority is the closest to Penn station which is 34th and 8th or 7th avenue. You would have to walk from 42nd to 34th street which would kind of suck but at least its not avenues since its all 8th avenue if you get off at Port Authority.

I would say you could take a taxi from there but I am not sure how much that will cost. 10-15 dollars? Could be less. Its a walkable distance but traffic on 8th avenue goes north so your going to have to detour to 7th or 9th to go down to 34th and get back to 8th avenue. I know there is an entrance on 7th avenue or at least an exit...but I don't know where it is exactly I'm so used to the 8th avenue side. But it is on the block of Madison Square Garden.

All this talk about AA, mileage, Asia, etc... I decided to check my miles on AA.com

    My current miles: 139,997

I really need to book that Cathay sleeper seat trip to Thailand or Phils... I think Jimmy said for 110,000 miles, I could get round trip sleeper seats to Thailand...? Wish they had a smoking section and sleeping pills on the menu... Eventually it's gonna happen... Speaking of smoking section, I watched the movie Argo last night and saw people smoking on the plane... By the way, it was a good movie.. Had to see what all the fuss was about, especially after it won best picture... Tre, you're nuts to pay all that money to go to DR! I know you're rich, but still... Principle alone, I wouldn't pay that much... lol

I can do that on Spirit if I'm not mistaken. I've got some miles with them also!!

Either that is a very popular time to fly to MDE, or Spirit doesn't fly any fucking where out of Detroit (except for Florida) for low prices or low miles!

most airlines do not offer a bonus on a business CC if you already have a CC with that airline. United is (afaik) the only exception - but their business credit card is only worth a 30k bonus iirc.

I'm only going to get 30k off the United personal card I just got, since I'm not going to transfer a balance to this card.
