I just wanna get through there as fast as possible, get my bag (and maybe a bottle at duty free) and get the fuck out of the airport!
Maybe it's just my age but from the time I get on that plane headed to SDQ I'm no longer in a hurry to do nuthin' until it's time for the flight home. I like SDQ and I have friends who work there. I like wandering around looking at all the changes they made since my last trip and I really like chatting up the promo Chicas at the duty free and just getting used to being around all those fine asses. Dominicanas go to the airport like they're dressed for the club. I'm usually past customs for an hour before I get a cab, smoked 3 cigarettes, drank 2 Presidentes and got at least 1 phone #.

SDQ and POP are completely different. After getting your bags, your outside, it's hot, and their aren't many well dressed Dominicana's hanging around the airport. The well dressed one's are there to meet their gringo WU novios.

Years ago I flew from ewr to sdq on an airline called USA3000. While checking in at the counter for the return trip home in sdq the agent hit me up for $20 departure tax. After I went through security was at the gate and I pulled out the itinerary for the flight and noticed on the receipt that the $20 departure tax was included in the flight. I made a stink with the gate agent and after a few walkie takie transmissions my $20 was promptly returned.
