As far as those waterfall pics, that looks very inviting, especially now. Were burning up out west this weekend. Supposed to get as high as 111 degrees in Sacramento! Whats a white man to do?

Yeah,, the Alisei is a nice place,,,,,

I actually thought about staying there,,,but the prices were a little to much,,,,,

And i could not turn down the deal I got at the Albachiara,,,,

    HOTEL ALISEI,,,,,,,,,,,,,

On Orbitz the Hotel Alisei is listed. Orbitz usually always has a 15% off coupon. Studio to two floor, two bedroom rooms with kitchens at the Hotel Alisei, off-season rates cheaper. Using Orbitz and a 15% off coupon code a studio room for two people is a little over $100 per night. I have not stayed at the Hotel Alisei.

I will check out the Albachiara when I return to Las Terrenas.

La Dolce Vita Hotel/Residence looks nice with kitchens.

The woman who runs the Fata Morgana Guest House in Las Terrenas, seems like a nice person (I have only looked at the website for her hotel); http://www.fatamorganalasterrenas.com/. Room rates from $15US per night. She gives info on how to get to las terrenas, including public transport using guaguas (minibuses or vans).

Photos I took years ago, Alisei room photos are from their site.

Yeah,, right now on booking.com ,,,the Alabaciara is $115 a night,,,,,

That is why when I was in Las Terrenas and just happened to look at what was Available,,,,I couldn,t beleive that they were having a " Smart Deal" for $420 for six nights,,,,,,I couldn.t hit the button quick enough on that one.

It is a great hotel, and the staff was awesome,,,,Including a really cute Haitiana chica that kind of ran the place,,,,She spoke quite a few languages ,,,including really good English.
This was getting little momma very jealous,,,,,she kept saying " Por que chica mucho habla tu en Ingles ?"
    "Mi pienso chica gusto tu"

I remember Bailar was telling me this is where alot of the rich Dominicans stay on the weekends,,,and he was correct.

The only hotel i would not recommend is the Corte Del Mar,,,,,
    Nice place,,but terrible staff,,,,,,

If there ever was a spot to take a panoramic shot, that would be it. In person it's awesome!

Re: For Those who may choose to venture out of Sosua and go to Las Terrenas,,,,

Spent one day at the beach in front of the Playa Colibri ,,,,,,,

We just pulled up,,,and I went in the office and asked if we could use the beach,,and the dude said "Si,,No Problemo ",,,,

It is a beautiful beach that is a little ways down from the Pueblo de Pescadores,,,,,,,

Had some drinks and chilled out here for a few hours,,,,,

The hotel looked nice,,,and I think is around $70-80 a night,,,,

    You are correct though sir,,,,,

Though this one will end after the Las Terrenas part ,,,,as I keep my times in Sosua to myself now,,,,,,

As I said in my last Las Terrenas report though Irie,,,,,I really think you would like it there,,,,

The only thing I think that might be different for you,, is not having your usual peeps and hangouts around like you do in Sosua,,,,,(not that there is anything wrong with that),,,,I just know that you like the
Rockys-Rubys type of thing and chilling with Rick and the guys,,,,

Unless of course you travel with some guys or a chica,,,,,,

But if you go with a chica,,,,,its kinda just you and her,,,and not any people that you really know,,,,

Or if you go by yourself,,,,,,just grab a different chica every night,,,,but still ,,,no people that you really know,,,,,

I love doing both,,,,,,,,,,,,,spend some time in Sosua,,,and then get away from it for awhile,,,,or vise versa,,,

I realized after reading this that Las Terrenas is the place I go when I want to hang with friends and people I know and that in Sosua I'm kind of a lone wolf. So its pretty much the opposite for me. It is really my own fault, I need to get out and mingle more and not let the favorita / novia keep me on lockdown when I'm in Sosua. Some of that also has to do with how I socialize and for me that involves a latin dance scene. Sosua has the circus but often time I feel like I'm just a spectator.

X, I'm enjoying your report as always,,,, Thank You!!!
