    I would also recommend:
    Tropico de Sangre
    Lotoman
    La Soga
    El Rey de Narajo
    La Hija Natural
    La Lucha de Ana

They all have clunky acting and production values to a greater or lesser extent, but worth watching for glimpses of the real DR which tourists rarely see (especially the last two). I bought them all off street vendors for 50 pesos each.

I'm friends with the girl that plays the mother of the girl in La Hija Natural

Her name is Kalent Zaiz. You can check her out on FB. Good looking woman!!

If you like Lottoman you should check out "Cristiano De La Secreta" It's another Raymond, and Miguel film, pretty funny. Last time I was in DR which was about 10 months ago, I saw a lot of Lottoman 2 billboards, and posters, don't know if it came out yet, but if it hasn't it should be funny. "I Love Bachata" is another comedy film, came out a little over a year ago, the trailer seems really fucking funny, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet because I haven't been able to find it online.

There's lots of local flicks that are pretty entertaining. Most are based on the Dominican style of humor. Los Supers is another that's pretty funny..
