In fact, I'm overdue for a visit!!

Asador de Antonio gets good reviews. Owner of Galiano Cigars, his cousin is the owner of Asador de Antonio (quiet location in La Esperilla, Santo Domingo).

Nice buildings and apartments in La Esperilla, also a large Mormon Church and the Music Conservatory. https://foursquare.com/v/conservator...d2fdb35/photos

Plaza Esperilla is on Ave. Mexico (also called something like Ave. Castellano west of Ave. Maximo Gomez), near UNAPEC University, students from the University visit the plaza in the evening.

Pretty chicas there some nights. Getting served drinks on trays while you lounge on a bed with amigas, can be relaxing.

Yeah. The one up on the hill. There's another one next to the old sugar mill that's a little smaller and in better condition. It even has a pool (in pretty bad shape)

There's also another one in San Cristobal called the casa de caoba, that was a cement frame and the rest made primarily of Mahogany. It wasn't a particularly nice looking house, and is an empty shell now. It was his favorite house in San Cristobal, (he was coming from there the night he was assassinated).

The legend about the house on the hill (el castillo del Cerro) in San Cristobal has it that Trujillo had it built, and when he saw it, didn't like it. He disliked it so much, it's said he never spent a single night there. I think it's been converted to a military training school, or an elementary school. I'm not sure.

Stays open late, casino adjacent has some cuties (workers and players), secure parking lot. I have had fun times in Pure (before it was called Copa). Crazy lap dance there I got from an amiga, last trip March 2014.

    Happy, Crowne Plaza Hotel

    Song by Pharrell Williams.

Crowne Plaza Hotel is the former Intercontinental V Centenario Hotel (still part of IHG Group, new Intercontinental Hotel going up adjacent to Plaza Acropolis on Avenida Winston Churchill). One of the bartenders at the Crowne Plaza Hotel is from Cali, Colombia (he has invited me to visit Cali with him. One of the managers at Lulú Tasting Bar in Zona Colonial is from Bogota, Colombia, very nice guy).

Day and weekly passes available for the pool and the gym at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (also a salon with massage). Daily rate for the pool, much cheaper with a weekly pass.

I have met fellow Mongers at the lobby bar and taken them around in Santo Domingo. Also saw a SUV with a Haiti license plate pull up and its seems the occupants where staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
