Now Ad is gonna open the old High Carib? Who in their right mind is going to business up with him? I hope it works out but I give it 3 months before the Dominican authorities shut him down. Rancho Tipico was closed because of a fire hazard??? And the hazard couldn't be corrected, fine paid, and re-opened???

Unless there are big time changes at the "new" Rancho Tipico it won't be open very long
When I was down there the end of January the sign was made out of poster board and magic marker and there were no customers at all.
Maybe AD will move back in there after they shut down if allowed

Ad is looking for an associateWe know Ad as the manager of the Black Box on the beach of Sosúa and the disco Rancho Tipico in the main street Pedro Clisante. Whatever one thinks about Ad, he does know how to run a bar / restaurant / disco. Wherever Ad opens a business, prompt many guests show up. In a short time he turned the neglected Latino bar with discotheque into a popular site among the visitors of Sosúa. But above all, Rancho Tipico was a good example, this bar had been closed for several years. Ad transformed it into a thriving popular nightclub where it was party time every evening until late into the night. Rancho Tipico lost his license because of a fire hazard. Therefore Ad teamed up with the owner of City Lights Bar. Also this bar was formerly very poorly frequented by tourists. But Ad transformed this bar too in a cozy well-visited nightclub. Now he has advanced plans to reopen the now closed nightclub High Caribbean.Ad
He already has the necessary permits from the Municipality of Sosúa and the Department of Tourism in Puerto Plata. However, it is a bulky thing that he can not run on his own. So he's looking for one or two partners.

It looks like the remodeling of the old Hi Caribe has begun. The workers tell me it will be finished in abt 5 weeks.

Picture #1 shows the outdoor part of the pool....in picture #7 it looks like they are building some type of stage over the top of the indoor portion of the pool.

Finally Ad succeeded to rent the nightclub High Caribbean in the main street Pedro Clisante. Whatever one thinks about Ad, he knows how to run a disco / nightclub. When Ad starts something, the guests show up. Rancho Tipico was a good example, because that had been deserted for several years. Ad knew to transform this desolated bar in a short time into a thriving popular nightclub where you could party until late into the night. Rancho Tipico disco lost its license due to fire hazard. From Sunday, April 2nd Ad is the manager of the High Caribbean disco which has been closed for years.

Peter of the former 'C'Est la Vie bar' was willing to work with Ad as a partner and to run the new nightclub together. Peter has always had a bar in Sosúa and has a lot of experience in the business, so Peter and Ad form a great duo. Currently there are a dozen painters, electricians and carpenters busy to renovate the disco and nightclub. The plan is to reopen the legendary disco early May with a big party. Disco High Caribbean is located at the end of the Pedro Clisante just past the Cestur (tourist) police station in the corner of this street.

I used to really like the outdoor area of that place. My opinion is it will do well in the beginning and then the Dominican authorities will shut him down within 6 months.

I do hope it does well, it's nice having different options to go to in Sosua. Being that the tourist police station is so close, I wonder how it will affect it.
