Is this the one where they supposedly got $5,000 in cash?

    Armed Robbery at Tradewinds

This is a cut and paste from another board:

"Rick from Rockys says a guest was robbed at gunpoint at Tradewinds. The chica went to the bathroom and fed he keys to her accomplices. They let themselves in and robbed him of a lot of stuff. They made him open his safe. Hey supposedly got $5000 in cash. Phone with pics of the chica. Watches you name it, they got it. They made him strip. Put a gun to his head. She left with them. Chica supposedly worked at some rest on the playa. Rick wasn't sure which one. Nor did he have a description of the chica."

Rick can you give us the "Rest of the Story" here??

Am I the only one that locks the keys in the safe when with a chica?

Hard for her to throw them out the bathroom window if she can't access them...

I lock up everything in the safe.

Then they may have knocked on door?

Pretty sure Rick's condos at Tradewinds have an exterior bar door that also locks and requires a key to open....which would be in my safe...

    Re: Tradewinds Robbery?

Sorry to hear this happened to the guy but how did the chica even know THIS was the guy with so much LOOT in his safe ?? Thats a lot of cash to have in a Sosua Hotel Safe , no ?.
Somebody had to be talking , cuz she took a hell of a chance, especially if she works in a Restaurant on the beach ? somebody is gonna know who she is , but she knew the payoff would be there so it was worth it for her. Wonder what her CUT was, especially if there were accomplices ( plural).

Either he bragged about $ , or the chica saw it when he opened the safe ? , and then called her Chulo, and so on and so on...
I wonder where this guy slipped, but imo he definitely SLIPPED somewhere.. cause that would be a hell of a lucky guess for a stupid chica, especially calling in accomplices and all.
    Hope they catch them..

    Re: Tradewinds Robbery?

I am in Sousa as I type this. The safe in my room is opened with a key, which is attached to the keys to the apartment and fob key which gives access into the complex. I can see how this robbery could take place. Only difference is that I have a watchmen a few metres from my door, the complex has CCTV installed and that I am paranoid about chicas stealing my shit or gaining access to my keys.

I was using Paypal to take out cash until they banned me. Now I use Schaab which is even better. No reason to have tons of cash when you carry two or three bank cards.

Buy a jar of mayonaise & a can of white spray paint, empty out the mayo, spray paint the inside of the jar, and you have yourself a place for your keys.
Just hope your chica does not make a sandwich when you are pissing!

    This screams "Inside job"!!

I didnt know that Rick owned Tradewinds. I hate saying this, but if it happened the way it was described, then it looks like an inside job!

The guards know who lives /stays there and who doesn't. Two dominican guys going to an apartment and leave a few minutes later with a bag full of loot in one hand and a shotgun in the other and security doesn't stop them? Yeah, he was in on it!

This scenario makes me thing of the Robert Di Nero scene in Casino where he fired the floor manager when someone scammed the slot machines! "Either your in on it, or your too fucking dumb to work here!"

    Re: Tradewinds Robbery?

Rick owns just a couple condos at Tradewinds, not the whole complex. If it was one of Ricks condos, the safe is a combo safe, not a key lock safe.

As far as the security guard goes, there is one for the entire complex. He can't cover the entire property.

Plus, if he was out for one of his siestas, how the hell was he suppose to see them????

Come on, we all know that the security guards aren't going to put their life in danger, to stop some armed robbers. They don't get paid near enough for that shit. Plus, they are all probably working 2 or 3 jobs. I have caught a ton of security guards sleeping.

Sorry for this guy whoever he is, no way to spend your vacation.

We can only hope that if he reports this that the police will not put him in jail.
