07/2014 - Anyone going to Santiago in Mid August?

I stayed at Hotel Matum last year and I would never stay there again. It sounds like you will be spending a bit of your time with a nice chica, unless you want to pay 900 pesos for a visitor fee you might want to stay somewhere else. I recently stayed at Hodelpa Centro Plaza and it was 100x better than Matum IMO

besides the crappy decor Matum was extremely lenient towards chicas. A friend of mine had chicas going in and out every hour of the day. No extra charge. The only problem were the girls that work the front desk during the day.They gave their disapproving looks but even they gave their numbers to my friend before we left. Also my friends have been staying there quite a bit in the past and knows quite a few people that work there so maybe that's why there were no problems at all.in fact the staff encouraged it and cheered him on lol.

Unless you're getting in her pants at no charge, I wouldnt feel as if I had to sneak around on the DL,and that is highly unlikely, don't worry about it, cause that the norm.... If you feel funny about it, don't worry about that either, cause after a few trips under your belt, you will get used to the business relationship...

I'll explain what I think and why I think in my more in depth trip report. But I can read people pretty well and the friends I was with have gone to DR probably 30 times between them. They confirmed that the way she acts around me is not normal for just being a chica. now I'm not going to take things for granted and im not going to let it get to my head as I do plan to treat her as a chica(primary) and I do plan to expand my number.

Yes they are chica friendly, the doorman kindly escorted my lady friend up to my room when she arrived at 2am. Gotta love that room service

I always give her the benefit of the doubt, sometimes you need to remove yourself from your prism of viewing things, just because you can't imagine, or believe that a "gorgeous" Dominicana is with you because she actually likes being with you, and the time you spend together, doesn't mean that standard applies to everyone.

I just got back from there in June but now I realized I have more vacation days than I expected so might as well go back. Last time I was with a couple friends(my first time in DR) and I was locked down by this girl the entire time. I had to cancel on quite a few girls some I really wanted to see. I'm not complaining the girl I was with was gorgeous and was always available while the other girls had work. I do plan on seeing her again. But this time I'm going alone and have a few chicas lined up. I know once I see the girl from the first time she will lock me down for the remainder of the trip. So I was just wondering if anyone is up for something the first couple nights I'm there(8/13). All I have booked so far is a one way plane ticket lol.....

Does anyone have experience with booking on airbnb.com? It looks like a cheaper option than hotels. I do plan on staying Camp David maybe 2 nights. But I'm also looking for a place in the city so I dont have to drive to the clubs or bars. It a BnB place a good choice?

She is not P4P. We never discussed money and I did not meet her in a tourist area(are there even any in Santiago?). I met her on Dominican Cupid and I was locked down by choice because I was into her and she made me happy enough that I didnt really have a giant urge to see someone else. I'm not starving for sex as I did just get out of a long term relationship. Again we did not discuss money, she never asked, not even to pay for her cab fare to and from home or bus fare to meet me in Sosua and going back(different story). Everything I did pay I volunteered. Being this is my first time I'm sure I missed some stuff that I probably should have paid for but she never brought up money. And the only reason I offered to give her a little something is because I hear from my friends and also seeing for myself how hard life really is there.

But none of this even matters because I'm a very realistic person. I know not to fall in love and get attached. I'm not letting it get in my head. I do what I want on my vacation. If I dont feel like hanging with her I wont hesitate to find something else. But right now I do enjoy her company very much. And no I'm not going to be some dude crying at an airport lol...and yes I've read enough of these stories you were referring to keep an even keel.

I'm relatively young (30) and at least look mildly attractive(though that is debatable ) I ran into a girl at Club Level that I had been previously talking to on Tagged but it wasn't really going anywhere. But that night after seeing me and my chica she blew up my phone and is offering to see me next time I come down. These girls I'm meeting are not P4P, just wanted to reiterate that. Obviously some kind of money/benefits are in play no different than anywhere else in the world really.

She speaks no English, and I have kindergarten level Spanish lol...I have no idea how but it works...though my spanish has gotten a lot better in the last couple months. I think I'm at 1st grade level now. I really wish I had paid attention in Spanish class.

Its very different. In America, most jobs are 50% men and 50% women, earning equal pay.


Women in America can make a million dollars just as easy as a man.

Do you know what a house cost there? 99% of them will never get a house on their own. In america, Most women that work can end up with a condo or Co - Op.

So on a weekday in January, I met her going to the bank with her cousin. She works 3 days a week in the Capital.


I returned in June and she came over 9 of my ten days.


I gave her 1,200 when I banged her and she stayed 4-5 hours a day.


She was e mailing me on facebook where she has 100's of Dominican friends both male and female.


Her only way out is a gringo.



I asked about all those amigos and she said they were FB only.


Today she had me remove all pictures from her facebook because she is not a puta.
