I was just there last weekend and ate breakfast and lunch there each day. Reasonably priced and good service. They have seating on the beach side as well as Duarte street side. It has become my chill spot since Yayow sold Senor Tranquilla's. Cuba Libre are $100 pesos.

I had breakfast there every day. I love that f'ing place. Now that they're a BnB I am considering staying there and eating myself to death.

Is that $130 with all you can eat? I didn't spend that much on lodging, food, booze and Punani together.

The last trip I ate breakfast every day there and other meals, but this trip avoided it based on some things you guys were saying about it taking even longer than the normal slowness expected in DR to get food.

After we ordered, it came 40 minutes later, twice.

I had a problem with that ONCE, this trip, when I got there at 12 noon with Jimmy and his day-girl, and I had to get back to the dive-boat by 1 PM. That's when we got the "good food takes time" excuse, and I wasn't pleased because (1) I'd ordered the plato del dia because I figured it would be ready for quicker prep and (2) the day-girl's food came out a good 15 minutes before mine and Jimmy's.

Next day I went in there earlier, well before 12 noon, and though the meal wasn't quick, I got it with plenty of time to enjoy it. I also went back for their whole grilled fish, the day before I flew home, and enjoyed it very, very much.
