amazing deal. i was looking at airfare to dr and i saw a lot of flights in august and july for under 200 1 way but not return.

will register for the promo and wait and see what deals pop up in the upcoming weeks.

    thanks for this.

is there any way i can subscribe to deezl posts on isoc? i missed out on the aa deal earlier this week. i wish we still had the new posts showing up on the right hand side instead of this escorts review thing i have absolutely no use for.

    thanks again

I second the "no use" for the escort thread. Only been one added in at least 6 months on the front page...bring back the new posts.

I keep a Spirit M/C around to keep the account active.

I called them about a no fee card but they don't have one so I clicked the refer a friend and I applied for another card and was approved.

I have over 80K miles and was going to use them for Carty in january but its about $350 RT.

I think I will get another 15K with that card.

and with the bonus it's worth about 6,500 points. the same flight/s cost 8,900pts each way so with the bonus you can earn (roughly) a free international flight for every three paid flights during the promotion. you could earn a domestic r/t with two flights.

    nice deal.

except the flight taxes to CTG seem about $50 higher than they should be. What's up with that?

    yup. $405 total, base fare is about $240, points x6 if you buy ticket via jetblue.com = 1440 pts + 5000pt bonus = 6440pts.

Re: 07/2014 -JetBlue offer 5,000 bon points on ALL vacation flights out of U.S. this

I'm looking at booking a September trip so I looked back over the terms of the offer and found something interesting that may be exploitable.

You must register for this promotion at trueblue.jetblue.com/web/trueblue/tropics5k prior to booking eligible travel. Offer is valid only for JetBlue-operated (one-way or roundtrip) flights to or from Latin America, Mexico or the Caribbean that are purchased by 9/2/14 and flown between 9/2/14 and 12/11/14.
So, I don't know if this is the way they meant for this to work, but based on the language in the terms you could book a one-way flight from JFK to POP and a separate one-way flight back and earn 10k miles instead of 5k. It says it right there, 'one-way OR roundtrip", and 'to or from latin america, mexico, caribbean'.

AFAIK, with JetBlue if the dates are the same it's the same price to book two one-way tix as it is to book a r/t so, considering that, it's absolutely worth it to book two separate flights and see if you can cash in on the double miles. Keep in mind that you can get a one-way ticket to STI, CTG, etc for less than 10k points, so for every two one-way tickets you buy this way, you could earn more than enough for an additional one-way ticket.

I just priced the difference BOS-AZS. Two one ways adds up to $531 and a roundtrip 9/10-10/8 priced out at $506. A $25 difference for 5,000 more miles.

YUP still have to pay the taxes on a free (award) flight. And the amount of points it costs actually depends on the base fare price of the flight. If the fare goes up, the amount of points also goes up. The best day to buy an award flight on jetblue would have probably been a couple of days ago, I believe thursday last week they had a 1 day 20% award redemption offer. So you could have got a better point deal. I like to use the points on 1 ways, usually the flight back internationally will be higher taxes but cheaper points.

All this though is just random stuff to do with jetblue, your own personal preference or tricks up your sleeve to try to get over on this weird Frequent Flyer program.

This offer though is great and thanks to Deezl we might have a way to earn ourselves up to some free future flights to destinations that now include Colombia

I believe I got the same deal for SDQ. It seems that the flight on the return back home changes in price, up $20-$25. I was able to pull up a rt to SDQ for $346 RT. $371 for 5,000 more points. 9/4 to 9/9. Some interesting stuff available.
