01/2015 - For the Young Folks: Kristal and Chichio

Really this is for everybody if you a like clubbing.

Over the holidays I went to a couple of spots in Ensanche La Fe and Villa Juana. Some of the clubs are open 24hr during the holidays

    Kristal Lounge:

A medium size club in Ensanche La Fe. Arrived there early, yeah 10:00pm is early at this club. People really didn't start showing up til 11:30. It had neighborhood feel type club because eveyrone seemed like they knew each other. I really didn't see many people drive up. Didn't stay long but I felt comfortable in this place, although my girl said a couple of months ago there was a shooting down next door. LOL

Check out these pics, not taken by me:

Chichio El Imperio de las Frias:

Well this is not really a club, it's a Drink, a hang out spot. There are more people hanging out on the street than inside. It's located on San Martin in Villa Juana not far from Sambil Mall.
I know I'm getting old, because although it was soo much energy there ( reminded me of my college days) I became tired very soon. After a hour I was ready to go.

So for you young mongers I think you will have a great time here. A lot of low hanging fruit.

DMV, don't feel so bad about making it an hour. There's another Drink in Veron near PC/Bavaro, that after 30 minutes they're tucking me in

This is really interesting to me.

Villa Juana looks like it's converting to hang out area for the younger folks.

It's been a hotspot for years, but not in a good way. Looks like that may be changing.

It may not last though; Noise control via 911 starts on January 15.

Half an hour to 45 minutes. Coming from the airport take the elevated road, when it comes down, Ave. Maximo Gomez is in front of you.

Turn right on Maximo Gomez, cross Kennedy(big "X" Pedestrian crossing, and two more lights and that's Ave. San Martin.

    You're in Villa Juana.

    Santo Domingo Clubs

Going to Santo Domingo, my Spanish is ok, I have visited the DR several times, staying at the Jaragua Hotel. Does anyone know of any clubs or bars nearby to meet local woman, or will a cab be necessary to get around. I do have numbers for favoritas, but trying to meet some new additions.
