Is there a particular reason you keep calling it Las Terrenace instead of Las Terrenas or am I missing something?
Hope you packed your E's Cam as there is a 2 day long techno groove/rave starting tomorrow at Palapa.

But it's in Las Terrenas so you may miss it as you are in Las Terrenace
Vista Mare, Samana
Since there is very little written on Samana I had no idea where to stay so Bailar suggested a apartment on Airbnb but when I booked I ended up getting another apartment Vista Mare which was about 20 minutes outside Samana. Vista Mare turned out to be a very nice complex with an incredible view of Samana Bay as well as a great restaurant, pool, weight room, store and game room.
Security was very tight it was a gated community. The biggest problem was internet, the WIFI was intermittent and my Orange hotspot was intermittent also. It was a 2 bedroom with a large living room and kitchen. Each bedroom had a private bath.
View from Vista Mar
One of the greatest things about Vista Mar is the view and listening to and watching the crashing waves. The weather was on and off and the water was choppy so Bailar and I decided to forgo the whale tour however did see a tail of a whale from the restaurant balcony. Below you can see we missed the boat...lol!
The restaurant not only provided a view of the Samana Bay but also the grounds.
Is Vista Mar chica friendly?
SouthCoast
Playa Rincon
Playa Rincon is a remote beach about and hour east of Samana. There were tourist but not the Cabarette, Sosua or Boca Chica type crowd.
Bailar and myself tried to get some lunch while we were at the beach but the waitress kept ignoring us and the cook said the fish was for him...CONYO that fish looked good!
Calle Principal Las Galeras
Las Galeras is about an hour east of Samana, Bailar and I decided to try something different from Samana. This small town has a few clubas and restaurant on the main street. We went to a pool hall and dance club. At the dance club the waitresses were available for a salida 500 local and 800 extranjero but you still have to negotiate with the chica. We saw some 6's at best but nothing really connected so we turned in for the night.
Samana - Santo Domingo
Mission accomplished in Samana now it's time to move on. I drove through Sanchez dropped off Bailar and continued on toward the new highway south from Nagua to Santo Domingo but before I arrived I ran into an accident.
The new highway has 3 tolls the first 2 were 181 pesos and the last one was 56 pesos. If I have a choice between driving on the typical Dominican roads and their toll roads it is a no brainer for me. The toll roads are like U.S. Inter-State Highways and very easy to drive but you have to beware if AMET running radar.
Originally I was going to meet my date in San Cristobal where she is from but she was considerate and said since it was so far I should meet her in Santo Domingo.
Hodelpha Garden Suites, Juan Dolio
My date wanted a Punta Cana resort but I gave her a choice between Juan Dolio and Boca Chica, Punta Cana was entirely too far to drive. She chose Juan Dolio and I chose Hodelpha Garden Suites because I stayed in one of the Hodelpha hotels in Santiago and it was absolutely incredible. For all the money I spent I could have had someone help me with my bags. I was expecting a full service resort with spa club etc but what I got was a hotel suite with 3 meals for 2 people included.
The venue had a game room, gym and restaurant along with a pool. I have to admit the greatest thing about the hotel was the WIFI which was on point.
I have to give them credit the food was pretty good. A buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a buffet dinner. You could order lunch from a very limited menu.
Playa Juan Dolio
One thing I don't like about Hodelpa Grand Suites it is not on the beach you have to leave the property and drive into Juan Dolio to enjoy the beach. Of course you have to pay for parking and chairs etc.
I enjoyed Playa Juan Dolio it was cleaner and more laid back than Playa Boca Chica.
Great reporting Camero. What a trip you are taking!
Any Jet Skies?
