OTOH, my Piper Tri-Pacer airplane was hard-pressed to FLY faster than 125 MPH....

actually I was only doing 240 (150mph) as the rental company had the goveners set at 240 ;
no speed limit on most sections of the autobohn
and on that note I took a 2016 ford fusion to the falls for the weekend and what a POS
dash controls were too high tech, road handling was sloppy, it had very hard shifting, no pick up, and the dealer had the key set for 130 KPH maximum speed ( 80mph) so every time I hit 120 the dash would light up and a chime would ding ding ding driving me nuts and saying you are approaching maximum speed and then when I hit 130 the govenors would kick in and again the dash would light up and the ding ding ding would start again saying you have attained the maximum speed allowed for this key
that would be good for a teen age driver but for an old fuck like me trying to drive on the 401 and 403 and QEW with traffic doing 140 AND ME BOGGING DOWN and having to move back to the slow lane was fuckin annoying
