I'm about ready to get crazy and pull the trigger on a $690 fight to SDQ......from North Carolina.
    POP is over $840. WTF?

    June 4-20..

That means an overnight in Boca on the way in and out. the rest of the trip will be in Las Terrenas.

if you can play with the dates a little in June you should be able to get it down significantly with JetBlue. I just booked yesterday with jet blue for 2 separate set of dates in June. Both flights around 350, however they are red eyes. Jfk to POp...

I was just surprised at BDAman's reference to Bermuda.

I've been there twice - the first time sailing in on Celebrity Cruise Line's Zenith, the second on Hank Schmitt's 48-foot yacht Avocation. What -- do you live there?

Yeah I know but airlines figure people here make good money [no income tax here] so airfares are high.

True ... it definitely is NOT. It seems to me its biggest "product" is banking and financial services, followed by tourism and rum ...
Just kidding about the rum, though I do enjoy Black Seal.
