About 170,000 Venezuelans are expected to arrive in the Dominican Republic this year, triple the rate of five years ago. Most come on tourist permits that last 30 days, but many stay longer and pay a fine if they leave. There are no official figures for how many stay.

Venezuela just needs to elect a leader who can clean up Hugo Chavez's little mess. Bring back the Western Oil companies and get oil production going again and hopefully the economy will take off.

The proven oil reserves in Venezuela are recognized as the largest in the world, totaling 297 billion barrels (4.72×1010 m3) as of 1 January 2014.

    Rank
    Country (BBL) Date of Information
    1 Venezuela 298,400,000,000 1 January 2015 est.
    2 Saudi Arabia 268,300,000,000 1 January 2015 est.
    3 Canada 171,000,000,000 1 January 2015 est.
    4 Iran 157,800,000,000 1 January 2015 est.
    5 Iraq 144,200,000,000 1 January 2015 est.

    10 Nigeria 37,070,000,000 1 January 2015 est.
The United States is 11th on the list at 36,520,000,000 BBL. All the numbers are unreliable if shale deposits are taken out.

Venezuela is a nut house right now. Haven't heard from Chef Carlos who went over there 2 1/2 years ago... we think the worst happened to him. A family member (Colombiana) got thrown in prison last year after Maduro did a purge on all the Colombians living in Venezuela.

The flights to and from SDQ are cheap and short. I've met a few working girls that go back and forth. I've heard about the girls showing up in Costa Rica, Panama and other places as well.

Don't think so because of the cultural bond. I've seen stories on the news of the Venezuelans applying for residency.

Talking to my dominicans they are starting to hate them too, not at the haitian level but noticeable. The haitian hate is something i will never understand because i never lived there and im not dominican. It reminds of the israel v palestine hate

The local girls are complaining that they have even invaded the small towns.

Re: 12/2016 - Venezuelans in the DR

I think I (as perhaps others ) may have been taking this Topic WAY too lightly...

This influx of Venezuelan TALENT seems to be a HUGE thing.. from the chatter I am seeing

Any more INTEL on this ?
How are these Girls ? Shapes ? Attitudes ? overall performance .. Prices ?
I'm guessing they are just happy to be working , and able to EAT .compared to what is going on back in their homeland.

This seems be a Huge and NEW Opportunity for some of us , most sane people would not DARE travel to Venezuela .. just way too dangerous , IMO..

Maybe ISOC guys in BC can chime in, like Yayow ?

any and all info is of course most appreciated..

I spoke to a couple of them last time I was there.
Both told me they have to make as much money as possible for the couple of months they planned to be there. First they have to make the money ( with interests) they borrowed to get the flights ( RT) to go to DR, then the rest will be for their families.
One told me that as guarantee that she will pay the money back, the guy who gave her the money has all the contacts of the family and she thinks something bad will happen to her kid if she doesn't give the money+ interests.. If it is true there are a lot of money that some loan sharks are making over there.. I then asked for how much she wanted and she said right away at least 100$.. I tried to explain that she will get more business if she lowers her price but I did not want to waste all my time so I moved on quickly...

This may be short lived then .... Sorry to hear these woman are coming not just to eat but almost forced into it.. ?

Paying some Pimp asshole who is also Loansharking money for the Air ticket price , well that is just the Lowest piece of shit right there
Authorities will probably be cracking down on this then if they get Wind of it playing out that way, since this actually DOES fit the purest definition of Human trafficking ..

$100 is not going to work for most of us , unless they look like Models .
I would Imagine Performance would also suffer, given that kind of Mindset.

Re: 12/2016 - Venezuelans in the DR

JD, that's not quite how I see it. Circumstances in Venezuela are forcing these women to come to the DR. There's money to be made in the there so many are desperate to make the trip. Problem is they have no money. They then make a financial calculation and decide to borrow money at set terms which of course they have to pay back. Not much different than a loan from a pay day lender except repayment is guaranteed with the threat of harm to your family. Harsh, but no one is forcing them to agree to the loan.

I hear you Sage ... we just talking... trying to shake out the INTEL on this , and get different points of view ..
it kind of peaks my Interest .

Not trying to sound as negative as my post seems, after re reading it , but I DO think the Authorities will be looking at this real hard.

Ironically , and Hypocritically enough.. they ( Dominicans) do NOT want the DR to be thought of as a Prostitution Hot bed...
but more than that , they certainly dont want these Venezuelan Girls taking money out of their mouths either ..

It will be interesting how this shakes out ..most interesting.
It does seem like a massive movement though.. if sources are correct .

Someone on the other site just posted that Marriages between Venezuelan Nationals & Dominicans ( I am assuming Dominican Men with Venezuelan Women)
    are up by 600% ...

U know how Them Dominicans want that " Good Hair" in the family bloodline and all that ..

Re: 12/2016 - Venezuelans in the DR

Just received a strange whatsapp message, a number I didn't recognize. A chica sends a photo and I have to admit, I don't remember who it is, so she sends a couple of more fotos and asks if I remember a couple of sexy Venezuelans. Looking at one of the photos with the two chicas together, I remember, met the two of them in El batey discoteca, has to be about 4 years ago or so when the Venezuelans first started coming over, both absolutely gorgeous and great dancers, we hung out a bit, but never hit either one, don't recall particularly why not, but my guess is they probably wanted more than I wanted to give. The one contacting me was named Dol, and I recalled I lost track of her because her friend told me, she got a boyfriend and was living with him in Bavaro and then moved to the capital with him and got pregnant. Really took her out of my mind, never thought would hear from her again.

Well we chat for a bit and says she is in Juan Dolio for a week, then goes back to Venezuela where she tells me it is pretty bad there. Turns out the boyfriend disappeared as she puts it, and she is staying with his family trying to get a visa for the baby. Guess because the baby was born in the DR. So we chat for a bit more tells me the other one who I met her with is now living in France, probably with a guy, not surprised as they were both beautiful chicas. So anyway we have made lunch arrangements for early Saturday, I guess I will probably hit it after all this time as long as she doesn't ask for too much. She is staying with his family so she can't be out too late, sure they are keeping an eye on her. Should be fun, wanted her badly back in the day, but she got scooped up fast.

Funny how things happen, been getting hit up lately quite a bit by a few chicas that I wanted but it wasn't the right time, kind of strange. Also had plans already to spend the night in Juan Dolio Saturday night to spend a night at a friend's spot on the beach, his girlfriend wants to present either her sister or a friend to me, planning on going to a disco in San Pedro, the weekend is looking to be very good.
Why should I limit myself to only one woman when I can have as many women as I want?
    George Gershwin
