Nicely done but no patrons.

What will be the fate of the High Carib disco???
From what I was told by one of the employees, the place isn't finished yet and it's still in a soft opening phase. He said there will be a grand opening with a famous Dominican band in the near future.
Plenty of advertising around town.
Long live High Carib.
That place will not survive with the current management in place
he managed a small bar before and this is a much larger undertaking
i am guessing they may have been using ad to get it renovated and opened but they should have kept him and the other staff longer.
If ad can get rt open and going again this place stands no chance
plus once the staff finds out they not getting paid what they were promised they will be gone to
I am the pussy licker Let's have some fun. Not invisible. Snitches are pathetic little people!

There are guys out there who are GREAT at opening a bar. Getting shit done and on time. They're hired as "managers" because most are looking for long term managing and don't want to be hired just to open the place. But once it's open, they're let go. Maybe that's whats been happening to Ad (along with being a prick and not getting along with people).
Ad is great at running a bar too (so long as no partners to fight with). The Black Box was packed most of the time. RT was as well. He is able to build the business and keep it growing. The problem is when he has to deal with people of power. He is one that will cut off his nose to spite his face.Seems like he should work on getting someone to handle these negotiations and problems.
I was in the Playa Chiquita disco last week Wednesday night and the place was packed with mostly local Dominican guys and chicas and some Haitians from the clubs that closed at 1am. Drove by High Caribbean and there were about three cars parked outside the place. If Ad manages to open and keep Rancho Typico open under the new name of "Chaka Bar" then I think he will do ok. Latest rumor is that Chaka Bar will open on the 15th? Although I have not talked with Ad he told a friend that he will be able to keep Chaka bar open past 1am during the week.
‘Forbear to judge, for we are sinners all’
But will the locals pay 500 pesos for the show at High Carib ???
WHOA!!! I only remember the remnants of the old Hi Carib. This place looks incredible!!
Lets say hi Carib does well the night it has a what I consider a class "C" band. What happens after that?????

Sometimes we fuck up...and life is so much better that way...
Running out AD and the Haitian bar staff was a major miscalculation imo.
So unless the current ownership has some very deep pockets and is willing to lose lots of money they won't remain open long.
A place like that needs a reason for you to go there especially when it is off the beaten path.
Without a good food option or a place to go and have a really good time it doesn't stand a chance.
This is not the tiny little bar he was running before so you better know how to get customers into the place or the overhead alone will put him under and you can't go very long without paying the staff or they going to leave anyway.
I think the only way Hi Carib stands a chance is if Playa Chiquita disco shuts down.
With Ad opening up his old Ranco, I think its the beginning of the end of City Lights & the end of High Carib before it even started.
The sign at the old Rancho Tipico says they will open tomorrow the 13th. We will soon see who will last. There is not enough action in town at this time of the year to keep all of these clubs going.
