    11/2017 - Good Hotels for 2018?

Planning a trip to Sosua for two weeks in January 2018. I don't get over to the DR or spend time on this board as often as I used to so wondering where, as of now, are the best chica friendly hotels (or apartments even) within walking distance of the beach? (for me, walking distance is anything upto and including Calle Rosen).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

Up to Cl Rosen you can get a rental apartment - not a hotel - at about $120 per day (weekly and monthly rates are discounted), and you have to start looking fast as January is a start of a peak season.

When in January are you going?

I think I am staying at the Bellamar which is right on the beach. Arriving the 12th.

How are the $45 rooms at Las Palmeras? Im guessing they are chica friendly.
Hotel Alicia does not clean the room every day, they only clean every the rooms 3 days but they do change the towels every day. Use to stay there all the time when Wilfried ran it.

I stayed at Las Palmeras in October and overall I liked the place but there are some issues that might not appeal to everyone.

I was in a room on the far side of the courtyard and the wifi over there was not all that strong but it is fine around the regular building and near the Restaurant.

The food in the Restaurant is pretty good.

The place is no doubt chica friendly. Almost to much so as there were several times that there were chicas just kinda hanging out in the courtyard which I don't particularly care for.

Came in late at night more than once and security was on site but mia

Also one night there was a chica in a rather heated argument with the man in the room next to mine and it spilled out into the courtyard where again security was no where to be found.

It is nice to know that when you stay at a place the security has your back and will keep the riff raff away from you when you want them away from your personal space.

Obe the manager seems like a pretty nice guy.

I do like the location and would have no problem staying there again even with security issues.

I never stayed at Las Palmeras, but had several friends that did and they loved the place and they think the manager Obie is a awesome dude who would go out of his way to help a fellow customer.

Recently toured the Ahvee Resort its across the street form El Colibri, its by far the best hotel in Sosua, a bit pricey but everything is included (food and drinks)for you and all the chicas you bring.

They have a membership or you can rent by the night.

I have not stayed there, its not my thing for Sosua.

Luckily there were rooms available when I got there. So if anyone knows the official website so I can book a room for late November, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They are on booking.com, that would probably be the safest but I think if you talk to someone on the phone and specifiy that you would be willing to pay cash on arrival you might get a better rate.
They are listing sold out on booking for a lot of December dates that I checked FYI
