You just take success one day at a time, as long as you feel good, respected (very important) and taken care of, it doesn't matter. Maybe things work out for me because I tend to see the glass half full in every situation. I keep my options open, I've learned that every situation in life has its good and also the not so good. For example, in my situation I have a great woman in my life, I'm happy (that's the good), but being with her prevents me from going to Asia and Africa, and have a good time there (that's not so good). I don't mind the trade off, but if something happens, I'll be on my way to Asia (Covid-19 permitting) ASAP. I tend to live in the now. Sometimes even the impossible happens.

Is it not possible to have a family emergency trip or guy trip that would require you to be away from your significant other for a month or so?

I could do that but it wouldn't be fair. If things stay the same between us, I won't miss never going to Asia.
As I believe in reincarnation, there will be another chance...I hope!

I remember being a Viking in 1,000 AD. It was fun.

The right question: Is it possible for a chica NOT to change?

You were my squire for a while in the 1,400's, until a nasty STD killed you.

Can't be. I was a lama in Lhasa during the 1400s.

Oh, wait, that was the 1400s of the Buddhist Era.

Well, maybe. I really should have been chasing a higher grade of tavern-wench.
