Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino, Santo Domingo

The Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino is located close to downtown Santo Domingo. I was very impressed the lobby was spacious with a bar and a section for live entertainment along with a casino connected to the lobby.

Reception went smooth got two keys for my guest since I booked for two. The Weston & Hotel Napolitano only gave me 1 key despite the fact I booked for 2 their also. The receptionist did ask if my guest would be coming later which I confirmed.

    The lobby was supper nice!

The bar had an area beside it for live entertainment

The casino had an indoor and outside entrance

When I went to the Weston Hotel I got stuck on the ground floor not realizing you have to use your key card to get the elevator to move. This time I was all the more wiser.

Looks nice. Classy and I'm sure many $1500-$2000 pesos chicas of mine would blend in perfectly well perched up at the bar or lounging in the lobby. lol.

    My room and view

My room and view were very good. The room was very large with a sitting area table and chairs. There was also a mini bar but I didn't use and of the items. I asked for a single king size bed but they gave me double beds.

The view from my room was great during the day and at night.

    Resturante El Mercado

    The hotel restaurant was good.

    13.jpg

There were servers but basically you could go to the buffet and get what you want there was an extensive salad bar

    14.jpg

I went back a couple of times for dinner, the first time I had a mixed greed and fruit salad along with baked fish and potatoes.

I had a first "hambuguesa de pato" which is duck burgers. I have eaten duck before which to me taste like a sweeter form of chicken, however this is the first time I have tried ground duck which had a more gamy taste than chicken or turkey burgers.

    15.jpg

Breakfast was included in the morning. The breakfast bar included everything with the exception of pancakes and French toast but fruit and almost every kind of pastry you could imagine.

One of my biggest regrets is that I did not visit the upstairs lounge and restaurant that is on the roof with a view since I only stayed one night the primary restaurant was more than enough.

    Conclusion

Of the recent hotels I have visited between the Weston and Napolitano this is the nicest definitely 4 star hotel. My room was 4000 pesos and I left with a 6000 pesos bill which included dinner which was charged to my room and taxes.

The hotel had almost everything I would want from live entertainment to a pool gym and two restaurants. The staff was very professional in fact they called my room twice to check on me which I have had happen at the previous hotels.

I simply book for two to avoid any problems with my dates who generally arrive after I do. I have no idea how multiple women would be received at the hotel as I did not try. The hotel is more of a business and date spot; later in the evening I did see what appeared to be single ladies sitting at the bar but they could have been hotel guest.

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.
