Why Your Browser Says ISOC is "not secure"

Most modern web browsers warn you if you go to a website without SSL implemented.

I never bothered with SSL for a few reasons.

    First - What is SSL
SSL protects the transmission of information between you and the website, such as passwords or credit card details.

    Why didn't I do it?
First to intercept the information someone has to be in the middle. Sure a hacker could take over a router near our ISP, or tap into the fiber going into our ISP but that is HIGHLY unlikely.
And if someone took over your router or line into your house you would have bigger problems than someone getting your ISOC password!

Second, we don't have shopping or take credit cards, so the only thing being exposed is your password which I hope you don't use anywhere else!

Third, it costs time & money, we need a yearly certificate (~$50) plus changes in the web server. Sure that's minimal but again I ask "What's the point?"
    Try our new ISOC Features!
    • Create a Countdown Timer for your upcoming trip or a special date here.
    • Print out one of our Money Cheat Sheets so you know much shit costs! here
    • Create Albums for your Pictures here.
