Holdepa Caribe Colonial Hotel, Santo Domingo

The Holdepa Caribe Colonial Hotel is located in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo and within walking distance of El Condi and the other tourist attractions of the area.

Below are photos of the front entrance and the outside terrace of the Azul restaurant which is part of the hotel. There is no parking on the street and the parking lot only can accommodate about 10 cars in very tight quarters therefore I would not recommend driving there.

The front desk

The staff was very professional they spoke both Spanish and English. They have pastries at the front desk for your enjoyment.

My room

I had a Royal Room which had a comfortable king size bed. The entire room was spacious and included a balcony.

I absolutely enjoyed Azul Restaurante inside and out. My only criticism would be both the inside and outside dinning areas are very small but it creates an atmosphere of intimacy. Soft jazz is played while you dine it is a very nice touch.

The food was FANTASTIC! Breakfast is included from a breakfast buffet. The menu included pasta sea food and regular American dishes prices between 500-1000 pesos.

Conclusion

I enjoyed my stay the staff was professional and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The location was great for Colonial Zone traffic.

The hotel is not monger friendly. I booked for two personas which is no problem with your guest but additional guest are charged $30.00 per head. Makes you wanna e monogamous hunnnh????????...haaaaaaaaaa!

Interesting enough there is a lot of female well dressed traffic in the area you can take that for what it's worth. I will definitely return.

La Terazza

I recently returned to the Hotel Caribe Colonial Hotel

This time I went to the terrace which is on the roof of the hotel

The view is great at night with the street traffic and lights.

This has easily become one of my favorite Colonial Zone hotels because of the staff, restaurant and location. My only complaint would be there is no pool, but regardless I will be back.
