Closing times extended for Samana santa

The Minister of the Interior, Mr Franklin Amayda Rancier, has announced that the earlier closing times (for bars and restaurants) will be suspended over the Semana Santa holidays, and that the associated temporary ban on the sale of alcohol is temporarily cancelled. According to Government Decree 316-06, bars, restaurants and discos may therefore remain open until Monday and can sell alcoholic beverages. However, the traffic police will continue to test for motorists who drink and drive.

In other words, the " TRAFFIC POLICE" will continue to agressively look for payouts even if one is completely sober. If the rigged breath machine shows you have been drinking , the cost of your "donation" will rise accordingly. Godda luv it !! So, if you know you've got yer car and plan on gettin' wasted, bring a few extra pesos, and it's all good. Damn, i wish we had those rules in Canada !!!!!!
