Santo Domingo, Monday - A Caribair commuter plane flying from Santiago to Santo Domingo made an emergency landing on Sunday when it apparently ran out of fuel. Bound for Herrera airport the plane made a rapid descent, landed on the Duarte highway, and caused considerable damage to not only the plane but also several cars. None of the four passengers on board were seriously injured. Miguel Isacio Diaz, head of the team investigating the crash, suggested the accident was a result of negligence on the part of the airline.
