FROM SOSUA NEWS.....
The earlier closing times for bars and the drastic behaviour of the police have turned the previously enthusiastic nightlife in Boca Chica into a fairly sleepy village. If bars and restaurants have to close at midnight during the week, then there's not much else for tourists to do but go to bed. But a number of enterprising entrepreneurs (Sjors, Jürgen and Frank) have got together and been encouraged to renovate the legendary disco known as La Terraza. The disco is located on the beach, with a beautiful view over the bay and, since its half open, you can dance away to your heart's content while enjoying the cool evening breeze.

The Piano Plaza Bar
Route 66 (another legendary bar) has also now been renovated and renamed Piano Plaza. This is usually full, particularly at the weekends. The disco just behind this (Discoteca Caribean) is also enjoying lots of business.
There's a rumour going round that the President will soon extend the opening times for resort areas such as Boca Chica, Sosúa and Cabarete, so that bars will be able to stay open until 2am during the week, and 4am at the weekend. If this proves to be true, then both the President and the enterprising entrepreneurs will be responsible for reviving Boca Chica back to its former glory.
