Foreign exchange rate on the rise - DR1

Yesterday, the US dollar was selling between 25 and 50 cents higher than the day before and closed at RD$33.75 and RD$34.00. Listin Diario reports that the purchasing price closed at RD$33.30 and RD$33.40 per US$1.00. According to the Dominican Association of Foreign Exchange Remittance Companies, no one has been able to explain the increase in the rate. Neither can foreign exchange agents who, however, do not discard the possibility of speculation. Commercial banks closed the sale of US dollars at RD$33.70 and the purchase at RD$32.94 to one.

i dont think you will see that rate again.. those days are gone !! dominican community abroad been talking about the rate going up for awhile now and it been said that it will go up to at least 37 to 1 by the new year.. although we been dealin with an artificial rate anyway so its not really going up its going back to what it really is..

I also have just returned from D.R. all week I received 32.5 pesos to the dollar. I'll be back in January!! I'm a Rookie but in one trip have learned quite a bit. I'll know better how to spend my money next time.

It was fucking great it a different world in santiago....Much much more talent, cheaper for me there. Got a little novia there so I stay at her apartment with two other girls!!!!!!!!! I know I got issues........I'm almost getting as bad as moshy2k. I may be down there in december I got a couple of non-putas I'm hooking up with from santiago and santo domingo. I'm getting addicted to GFE and non-putas. The amount of talent outside of sosua is unbelieveable you must check it out. Anyhow I'll probably be there near or at the end of your february trip, as soon as the superbowl activites here in detroit are over after february 6th.
