That will change, if you can jump on the deals now.

Fly AirTran from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale ($59 one-way, maybe $140 with taxes)

Fly SpiritAir from Ft Lauderdale to Santo Domingo ($59 one-way, maybe $180-200 with taxes)

Total shouldn't be over $350 and that would be with bus fare from SD to Sosua.
The ATL to FL. taxes shouldnt be that much... its not international... Beas has 4 more wake-ups till Sosua...

    atl = delta

I can sympathize with gdogg as I also live in a Delta hub, so I drive two hours to save many hundreds of dollars. Screw Delta!!! And they don't go anywhere worth mongering anyway. ( i know they now go to DR..but didn't a short time ago).

Take the shuttle to NYC <$80, and then catch the $250-300 NYC rates.

Do you drive to Birmingham? I'm looking for another city, and I heard (through Clark Howard), that going to B'ham can get you some bargains.

Which shuttle is that? Somebody here recommended me taking Airtran to Ft. Lauderdale, and then flying into Santiago. Sounds doable!

    Delta hub

No. i'm at CVG, which is so freakin expensive to fly from... even with the "new" pricing" that Delta has. I leave from Indy, and save muchos pesos whether i'm going to DR or MX.ALways on AA!!!

Yes I consider AirTran a shuttle. Since it only takes about 90 minutes to fly to ATL if that much.

I'll probably be using Airtran on my next trip. Santiago is a lot cheaper to get to that POP! I'll suffer the hour cab ride. That's probably where I'll get my sleep for the trip.

Yeah but you are losing time sitting in the cab taking the ride to Sousa.

Do you know how many chicas you will pass on the way there, maybe 10, maybe 20 and most will want a ride.

Shut up, man! That's what I was thinking on the last trip, which is why I spent over $800 (and I'm not talking pesos, either!) for it. This time I may able to do two trips for the price of one.

WSJ is trying to drag me over to the dark side with him.

Now that's thinking! Good job, and stay away from WSJ. He's come under the spell of the evil chicas.

I think I'm flying out of New York and headed into POP. Hopefully, I can get similar prices come the new year!

You can be El Tigre in NYC, that's what your title says right?
