SD vs. Puerto Plata? and other questions..

    Hello,
Like most newbies, I have few questions, so please excuse my naiveté.

    1) Me and a buddy are planning a first-time trip to DR this 4th of July weekend. Seems like Jet Blue's fares (from NYC) are the way to go -- something like $250 roundtrip for the days I wanna go. Thing is, Jet Blue flies to Santo Domingo... and only once a day. I know almost nada about DR and it's geography. From what I've researched on WSG and this site, it seems Sosua/Puerto Plato is the place to be.

Knowing all this, How much trouble is it to go from Santo Domingo to Sosua? The distance between the two? Cost? Should we just stay in Santo Domingo?

    Also,
    2) I'm personally down for a little mongering, but my friend needs convincing to pay outright por la chocha dulce. What's the average guys likelihood of meeting local non-pros who are down for some one night stands? I've been to Brazil, and didn't have trouble meeting girls there, but I am assuming that DR is gonna be different.

    3) My friend and I are both Black, but we're mixed, so we could pass for Domincan easily. We look like were late 20s Would this help us or hurt us since we may at first glance not seem like the stereotypical Euro-American tourist type with lots of money to burn? Neither of us speak much spanish.

    Thanks!

    Mr Choca Man!

Caribe Tours and Metro air conditioned buses departing from SD to Sosua every hour during day time. 4..5 hour of travel and about 6..10$

Hey Jim give Mr.Choca Man a break. He is the first one from this group to use the word "naivete" in a post here.

    This guy has potential!

Just a correction on Andy's reply, Metro does not go to Sosua, they only go as far as Puerto Plata. Caribe Tours leaves SD very hour, on the hour, any taxi will know where the terminal is. Enjoy the ride, the scenery is great.

Go to Sosua ... take AA to POP from JFK .. on a netsaver u will pay close to $300 ,.. right now you can book something from JFK to POP for about $350 in July ...airport taxi from pop to the Palace is 10-12 bucks and 20 minutes away... I been to SDQ once before and been to Sosua the last 4 times in DR.. i will never go back to SDQ... stay at the Palace .. John the Owner is a great guy and you will find people there that will be able to help you out with the spanish problems including me if im there when you and ur boy is ... as for finding a regular girl in Sosua it can be done... it may be harder to game them when you dont know spanish though... i have met girls that i didnt pay anything for except for a presidente in disco there but when you pay the measley 20 -30 bucks for these girls its easier and fun knowing you can fuck someone different the next day without any attachments... and hey if anyone has game its us my friend.. we are both from Brooklyn and if you can get a girl in BK you can get a girl anywhere!!

you have any questions at all just send me a message.. Sosua Beas

    Thanks all for the help.
It's a little bit out of the way, but me and my buddy got a JetBlue flight to Santiago (Why? Cause I'm trying to rack up my Jet Blue frequent flyer miles, that's why). Figure we'll taxi it to Sosua. It's like an hour and some change away, right? From what I've researched, the cab fare shouldn't be much...at least that's what I'm hoping. Can anyone confirm the price of the cab fare?

Besides the Palace, I'm wondering what other spots I should hit up while in Sosua. Y'know, the first places on my checklist that I should go to. I'll be looking for pros AND non-pros. Not really interested in picking up SWs. Are there MPs there? Any Brazil-style thermas or Boites?

Go to D Classico disco if you want to stay local and go to a nightclub ... there are pros semi pros and regular notaputas in there...
I went to Sylvias massage/gift shop which is a couple blocks down from the beach ... she gives a 300 peso half hour massage ($6USD)or a 400($8USD) hour massage... she also offers a BJ or HJ to finish you off... the BJ is wack .. she uses a condom and the HJ is recomended .. she does that great with the massage oil... Of course you will pay more when you ask for the extras somewhere from 1000-1500 ($20-$30)..
Back to the Disco's... when i was there on memorial day weekend the Classico was the only real disco open in SOsua ... I heard Latino was being renovated by the new owner (Mario-manager from High Caribe) I dont know if it is open yet though and i think Caribe is also closed for "repairs" I really think Classico just destroyed their business to be honest...If you wanna find a regular girl try to go to a Bachata concert... They are usually in the Puerto Plata area.. about 20-30 minutes from Sosua... the post advertisements on main roads ..almost every weekend there will be a concert... I been to a concert the last two trips there .. i saw Frank Reyes in March and Antony Santos on Memorial day weekend... these concerts are usually on Sunday nights .. sometimes Saturdays... they charge 300-350 pesos to enter and well worth it if you want to see beautiful horney women... the prices for drinks are basically the same as you pay in any disco... $1-$3USD...

Of course if you want to go PROFESSIONAL whoring .. just go to Crystals or Bohem in POP... I dont like mountainview(saw to many he-shes) or galactica..(too dark)... but you will pay top dollar (aprox $100 USD toda la noche)they may also hit you up for cab fare to get back to POP in the morning...

Never seen the color of skin slow down. My wife is very dark and I am white. Big shit!

The chica's can spot an "asshole" a mile away not matter what there color. They prefer to be with nice guys. Beas left out my favorite place for chica's. The beach. Good food. Chill out with friends and shoot the breeze. Hang out with a friend who can warn you about certain chica's. And watch the pussy parade right by you. See one you like just wave her over. Don't speak spanish. No problem. Lots of us do. Magnum and I will be hanging out around Siempre Sol as usual. Lots of pussy around there and the owner is very cool, has good food and cheap drinks. Most important is he knows every chica on the beach. You can spend time with a girl on the beach and then schedule her to show up at your hotel at a certain time. I will be in town that weekend at the Europa. During the day. stop by the Shark bar or Siempre Sol and ask if anyone has seen Don. I will be with my wife but will help you out. The Palace guys (mongers & John) are also great at helping friends. We take care of each other down there. The way it should be.

I will not be mongering this trip but will be hitting the disco's and the casino with my wife. But no problem helping friends.

And yes you can get the elusive "not-a-puta". But you always pay, one way or the other. Free pussy is the most expensive pussy I have ever gotten.

Take care and look forward to seeing you in Sosua,

    Nomad

Once again guys, THANKS for the help

"And yes you can get the elusive "not-a-puta". But you always pay, one way or the other. Free pussy is the most expensive pussy I have ever gotten. "
Those words are gold. Hey, I totally agree, but in some guys minds, there's a difference ... (not in mine, though!)

I'm stll trying to lock down a hotel to stay at. NOW my buddy tells me he has a girlfriend, isn't hard pressed for some good ol' fashioned hoeing, and after talking with him he seems to be a little uncomfortable being around any hotels that are overtly chica-central. (Yeah, I KNOW. I know.) So I'm thinking of staying at the Voramar cause from what I've seen, it looks nicer than some of the other inexpensive hotels. And I guess what I like about the hotel is that the website sort of "implies" that it's chica friendly, but not an outright whorehouse.

I know it's on the outskirts of Sosua, but would it be really that inconvenient? If anyone can help, that would be great.

nomad: I'm suprised you are staying at the Europa with your wife. For the most part, I haven't read very good reviews of the place elswhere on the 'net. And aren't there just obiously working girls all over the place?

Anyways, I'll try to drop by the places mentioned and look out for you fellas.

The Europa is a chica friendly hotel yes. But is a regular hotel. No chicas hanging out on the premises. You have to find them elsewhere and bring them in.

My wife is very young but not stupid. She was the maid at the Dolphin. Quit when she met me. She hates the Dolphin. One of the owners is the world's biggest asshole. When she sees him she just flips him off. He knows better than to say anything to her.

Voramar is nice. Know people that have stayed there. Has a few chicas that hang out on site. 20 peso moto-conch ride to town. Atleast for locals. They will ask you for more. Find a reliable moto-conch guy. There are some around that area who will stab their own mother for a peso. There is a guy who hangs out at the beach named Juan. Older guy. Very honest. Also two guys that hang out by the Palace. One is named Andy. Young guy (haitian) wears a yellow baseball cap. Tell him you are Don's friend (my real name). He will take care of you. You have to be carefull of the moto-conchs you take. My mother-in-law was robbed in broad daylight in Sosua.

Try breakfast at Rocky's. That is where alot of us will be eating breakfast.

Give me a shout. My number in Sosua is 865-0109. If you here spanish as for Don.

    Take care,

    Nomad

p.s. I am on alot of web sites. But always the people I meet on Jimmy's site take care of each other.

I have stayed there and during the day you can get anywhere but at night you may have to walk 10 minutes to find a ride. NOT a BAD LOCATION!

Yes I use Andy and ALEX. They are honest and will come by if you ask them to check to see if you need a ride. I myself over pay Alex because he lives with his wife and three kids in a shack and giving him $2 is not a lot to me but a meal to them.

Andy and Alex just are just not motos. They will help you build your house also. They like to play pool and foosball. Are not very good at it but enjoy it. I taught them how to play foosball. Maybe that is why they are no good at it. Alex has how many kids?

Alex is 30 and has three kids. He has had the dad luck of being born into Haiti and ending up in Sosua. Had he been born in the USA he would be one of us!

If you are trying to stay at a non whore hotel... why not Europa or One Ocean... they are good and are right in town... i remember once i asked the motoconch to take me to mauri mai and he took me to voramar i guess they kinda sound the same but i would never stay 10 minutes out of the way from all the action... funny i dont know any motoconch dudes names like you guys but i have about 5-10 guys that i know and try to take one of them if i see them... but i really think there is nothing for "us" to worry about ... they dont want to fuck with the Prince of Sosua !!!

and yes the beach is great for afternoon snacks of all kinds and happy hours as well... i now only hang with Herman at Siempre Sol... thanks to Don introducing me back in November... great guy , knows everyone, eat and drinks available !! have fun ... Prince Beas
