Take a bus from Caribe Tours. You'll save a small fortune!

Private taxis are too much for what you get, but if you have money to burn like that, then go ahead. I rather save that "small fortune" and spend on booze and girls. I'll take caribe tours any day or rent a car.

    Santo Domingo Taxi

Thanks for the advice, I'm bringing one of my friends with me so, $60 isn't that bad a piece. I want to get out of the airport & just grab a Taxi & get to Sosua.I've added an extra day to our trip just because we have to travel so far to the airport, so the night before our departure were going to stay in S.D.If you had one evening in Santo Domingo, what would you do & where would you stay?

I would go to The Jarragua Hotel and see whats there to start.

Remember, see who else is flying in and share the cab.

Kind of what Jimmy said! For a semi-budget traveler, i would research a cheaper hotel and try to pull something out of the jaragua casino. I know there is a cheaper hotel right behind the place with included breakfast.

MISTER DR, I mean MISTER NYC is right fuck cabs unless, take the Caribe Tours Bus, or Rent a Car if you are not scared to drive in the DR, you end saving more money in the long run.

Re: Taxi from Santiago to Sosua.....

Here are some nightclubs you might want to check out there too ,not too far by cab from jaragua, one place thats filled with hot smokin chicas is a place called Praia, its off of ave Lincoln off the malicoln, the cab will know where it is.also in that same area, the naco district , there are other places too like "Blanca" , "the loft" and Trio Cafe, but that place you need to have dress shoes and pants, no sneakers! but man the chicas!!!!! there worth it, also if you are staying in the colonial Zone area ,by the conde, theres a place called "Abacas" happy hunting!!!!!

I just paid $85 from the STI to Sosua. On the way back $80 last weekend no haggling or negotiating really.
