Usually I rent from Santo Dominog and Boca Chica.....but can anyone recommend a good reasonable priced car rental place in Puerto Plata?

I have rented from a few different ones and all their cars suck and are crap. Just make sure there is a spare in the trunk.

I always rent from Gipsy at Adventure Rent Car at POP airport. She also has offices in Santiago and Cabarete. The monger rate is 30 dollars a day.

I never rented from her but Tampa is the third guy to recommend her. I may try her next time.

Thanks for the info....I will give adventure car a try. They look like they have nice cars on their website. If the monger rate is $30/day that would be a great deal.

By the way "what is up with being a rookie all over again?"

    Monger rate

how does one get the monger rate from gypsy? Does one simply say: oh, I hear that if I've flown all the way here to f*ck young, impoverished women, you'll cut me a break on the price?

    Hapax.

If you like to rent from the "name brands", always book on the company website. On wed, i was quoted $60 (economy) in person at PP airport. I then went to an internet place and booked on the computer for $35.

I made a mistake in posting the price. It was actually $28 on the Budget website.
