    Delta Information

For Sosua I'm at the mercy of this flight which only runs the high season on certain days. Looks like this year it's Dec. through the 1st week of Apr. but the days and prices keep changing. I have one more trip planned 2/26 and that will probably be it until next winter.
ATL - SDQ flight runs year round so I'll probably visit there sometime this year for my Dominicana fix. You guys with direct flights to POP from NY, NJ and S.FL sure are lucky!

    Re: Delta ATL - POP

I have done ATL-MIA-POP w/ AA twice recently and it's not bad.
Certainly cheaper than Delta. Check it out!

Nevertheless, having said that, I am looking fwd to a non-stop flight ATL-POP towards the end of March.

    Re: Delta ATL - POP

flights into pop are too expensive, and the flight time usually suck pretty bad

i run out of miami to santiago, puts me into sti at 1:30/2:30pm. the cab ride over the mountain is not that bad, get to see some of the country. its all good. my main thing is a fair priced ticket (not the lowest, but certainly not the highest) that arrives in the DR in the afternoon and my total fly time is 7 hours or under with the layover in miami. the route i run is 6.5 hours down, 8 hours on the way back.(time for customs)

while i would love it if i could fly into pop, to date it just hasnt worked out

btw, the $85 dollar cab ride (split with my wingman) is still cheaper, and i get there in the afternoon

Your response gave me another idea to consider. Fly into STI, and get a rental car!

For example, Economy car w/ Avis for a week is less than $75 when using the infamous K44404 discount code. Saves the cab fair, plus one has a car at his disposal.

    Just a thought.

Thanks but unfortunately I'm an hour flight away from ATL so I can never get to MIA early enough to catch that AA flight to POP, usually shows an overnight layover in MIA

    Transfer miles

I get an e mail from Delta that if I transfer miles they will match the amount and give me it back. I look to transfer 30,000 to my brother and its only $330. What a scam.

That's why I don't use mine anymore. For every 10,000 miles, its $100 off the ticket price.
