Thank you's

very often when i give someone a thank you it deems to disappear. i've mentioned this before but it is still happening and seems more frequent.

generally i'll read a post and hit the thank you button and wait for the thank you to appear. it often takes a few seconds, like 10, for it to appear.

some threads there are multiple posts in a row that i want to thank and often there are some that i immediately have to redo.

other times, mostly in threads where i only have 1 new post to read i'll hit the thank you, watch it appear, hit the back button and move on. the next time i'm in the thread i will find that the thank you has vanished.

no idea of the cause and i an sure that there are many, many thank you's missing as i actually wait for them to appear. in fact on multi thank'd threads i occasionally have to hit reload to get the odd straggler to make an appearance.

regardless it's off and frustrating.

any thoughts DT?

Give me a specific post next time, that way I can check the SQL DB

Next time don't thank again, just leave it as is and let me know.

i only hit the thanks once. then hit the back button, then the forward button to check and it was gone. immediately posted the link to let you know.

if the log says i hit the thank you more than once then that should give you a hint where the problem lies....cause i only did it one time

There isn't a log to check but rather the database to see if it's really there.

Since you are "checking" if the Thanks is there using Back/Foward you are just loading your browser cache and not the updated webpage.

You said you didn't re-thank the post but yet when I looked at the post your thanks was there. Clearly a browser problem on your part. What browser and version? You can also check their support site and lookup "AJAX issues".

good to know. so if i return to the threads/posts, not with the forward/back buttons but, by reloading the page or clicking on the thread again i should be able to see the thank you, correct?

my browser is firefox 2.0.0.11
