Forgive my overly absent little voice and camera, please. The good news: I'm way-full of tales, cities, and pictures. My phone and iPod are bursting. Now I just need a moment to get them all up, up, up! But firstly, most importantly, here is what I've been working terribly too late into the night on for the past few months: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29TH, 2006 30 Second Sex: a collaborative camshow featuring Ana Voog, Echo Transgression, and Melissa Gira Simultaneously webcast live at boa, and performed live at the opening night of Sex Worker Visions. Art opening begins at 6PM EST; 30 Second Sex begins live with chat at 7PM EST. Sex Worker Visions is an art exhibition, gathering of sex workers and their allies, a celebration of $pread magazine’s first birthday and a collaboration with Sex Work Matters. Featuring visual art by and about people in the sex industry, curated by Audacia Ray, executive editor of $pread and former assistant curator of the Museum of Sex. Artists include Anne Hanavan, Charise Isis, Cristy Road, Fly, Heather Corinna, Molly Crabapple, Paul Sarkis and George Pitts. The opening will also feature book signings by Tracy Quan and Scarlot Harlot. (Yes, Ana, Echo, and I -- actually together like this for the first time!) THURSDAY, MARCH 30TH, 2006 Sex Work Matters: Beyond Divides At 10:45a (EST), join us at the New School, or online via live webcast, for the sure-to-be-controversial roundtable that Audacia Ray and I are co-moderating, "Managing Multiple Roles: Sex Workers, Activists, Artists, and Academics." We'll be joined by my boa: new whore culture editor Jessica Melusine, Elizabeth Nanas, Robyn Few, and Scarlot Harlot. (I'm myself a little beyond over this happening, as it was spawned in this here blog a few months back.)...
