Its a 4 1/2 hr drive to POP from SD. I have the same problem here from Boston. Its fuck'n expensive. Like $640 every trip. I feel like Im getting raped.
Try this site. You can`t book the ticket from here but with the Info it will give you. You'll be able to go to the airline directly and know the flight numbers you want.http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego
Don`t forget to use the monthly search feature, not the daily that it is set for. Also you don`t need to register, just use it. BTW, this is the same program that orbitz uses, but its more advanced. I use it all the time to find fares. Its great, tells you what days are cheaper than others to fly. Make sure you watch the conections after you pick a cheap date, you don`t want to fuck up and book 2 overnight flights.
Upto you but if money savings is your concern you are better off with Spirit Airlines & Santo Domingo.

Sales:
Chicago O'Hare to/from Fort Lauderdale from $49* each way
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to/from Fort Lauderdale from $59* each way (book by 10/20/04-travel starts11/19/04)
Not sure when you are going in November.
Best part Spirit has two flight to SDQ and one leaves at 7:55pm so if you can get to FLL by then from ORD then you gain an extra night in the DR.
I just saw this highlighted on the AA webpage. Chicago-POP $345
I just saw that. With Tax its $492.00. Unfortunately I already booked.
Tell me about it. Its not a cheap trip from Boston either. 3 trips down this year and cheapest I payed was $560. The other 2 trips were $640.
Ohh well, what ya gonna do

I'd jump at a $492 trip. Just lets you know what I'm working with in Atlanta. I saw the cheapest ever trip to POP recently, $680.
