.
Thanks for posting the pics of a room
So what did you think of the room?
It looks nice but really doesn't look to close to a 5 star type room imo
Kinda the normal lack of attention to detail that one would expect from a 5 star type of place
I am sure they will get some business though.
I am the pussy licker Let's have some fun. Not invisible. Snitches are pathetic little people!

Not a 5 star without a beach view or beach to go to. As far as food. The fancy restaurant on the premise looked very nice and fancy , but did go in once. Looked too boring for me. I ate at bourbon which was included on the tab. Good food , but we all know not 5 star food. More like ground zero for the chicas now that rhumba is closed. Beds were awesome. Very comfortable. No cable Tv. Only wi-fi for smart tv which most apps in USA did not work . Shower and toilet were in plain view. No doors or privacy. Kind of cute at first watching my chicas shit front of me lol,, then got stinkey and tired of it . Jjj. No closet. No drawers. No safe. They drive you to strip , beach , etc. On those golf carts. Very friendly staff. All of them. But I missed being close to every thing.
Thanks for "taking one for the team"!
With all the strange stuff in the room, the distance from everything, the not awesome food, etc.... Would it be fair to guess you would not recommend and will not be returning?
If you don't mind what was the nightly cost for the accommodations?

Your opinions are not my problem...
Thanks for the details lol. From what I am hearing and seeing from you and others, I don't see how this place will be rated 5 star by TripAdvisor or whoever. Moreover, I don't see how you get more bang for the peso versus all the other options one has in Sosua/Cabarete between Airbnb spots, AIs, villas with private pools, and fly spots with an ocean view.

As far as cost per night. On the web it goes for $190 per night. There is no way in hell I would pay that type of $ cash in Sosua for any place . I will and have in puerto plata in the all inclusive resort , for example iberostar. Every now and then I like to treat myself , or beach front Condos in caberette.
As far as my cost $ , They did look out and were honoring old Victorian house reservations before switching management before super bowl. Had option of money back or keep reservation. I figured give it a shot. Kept me away from all the crazy shit during super bowl weekend on strip .which I kind of missed. Lol. The place was chica friendly, but like I said no safe in room. Funny feeling in morning when you escort your chica out in the morning, everyone stares at you . And no moto's in site for quick goodbye. Jjjj
As far as going back? Too expensive, too far,, no cable tv,,place really not ready for the public , construction going on during the day and early evening . Not used to the noise.
Ah so a nice TV that you can't watch
Amazing at the thought process of a place that won't spend $100 for a decent digital safe but it is the same management as VH that wouldn't spend any money on proper safes at VH either
It will just make it much easier for the guests to get ripped off
Sounds like maybe they are not ready to be open yet and perhaps things will improve there in the future if not they likely won't be around by year end
Looks like they did a fancy job of remodeling the place ... but didn't they consider there might have been a reason it was abandoned? Like, maybe, it was in the wrong place to make money as a resort, even as an AI?
And they left Victoria House for this?
I think Isaac Asimov put this sharp-shot remark in one of his novels: "Really, sir, such folly smacks of genius. A lesser mind wouldn't be capable of it."
I'm still "Just A Lurker."
