Looks like they are going to try and keep it going with special events
Interesting since the pool is very small there now and totally outside

Disclaimer. This post may not be in response to a post by Greybaby. So Greybaby doesn't need to cry about it. Rover has you pegged to a T
And Playa chaquita is advertising a special event for the same night
Maybe you will be able to hit both of them
I heard from Sosua News that this place is closed.

Yep....done!!!!
I passed by here on last Sunday evening and the club was open. 9-10 cans out front, music playing.....private party??
Not surprised it closed.
Its a little too far from the action for WW and even for guys that visit 3-4 times a year.
Im too old to go to a place that doesn’t get going until 11:00-12:00.
I have already made my choice by then.
If she is alive, she will fuck.
High Carribean may have thought could replicate success of Rancho Tipico.
Distance would not matter as much if had a core crew of patrons.
RT had good food options and that drew a lot of people in and started a core. HC kitchen opens at 9 or 10, not many people eat at that time.
Come in for the food, stay for the atmosphere.
IMO HC has absolutely no chance of surviving as it is much different than Rancho Tipico was
First off AD ran the show at RT entirely at HC he has to answer to at least three other owners and we all know AD does not play well with others.
There have already been issues that caused him to leave or be kicked out once and it will happen again.
HC is much bigger and I would surmise the overhead is much greater there than it was at RT
Ever wonder why they go through so many staff so quickly. Try cheating them out of their pay and they make sure they let staff go before they can make any kind of claims for severance.
Even though they are now employing some Haitians again the ownership absolutely wants to hire only Dominican staff but the customers like to see the Haitianas there and ultimately it is the Haitians that are the best workers
The food area outside is actually pretty nice but the profits in the food game are pretty thin.
They might open again for the busy season but I don't see any long term prospects for the place one the snowbirds leave for the season and the real money is made from the short time vacationers not the expats and snowbirds that are there on a budget.
The doors at Rumba have been open this week with people inside working/cleaning. There's a Help Wanted sign outside. Going for strike 4???
Are they open or closed. Depends on what week it is
Probably doesn't matter much

High Caribbean disco opens again January 7
Pleasing news!
The most beautiful nightclub on the north coast will re-open on Sunday, January 7th again!
High Caribbean
Forced by circumstances nightclub High Caribbean closed its doors in the second week of December. However, the management expects that in January, February and March, when the tourist season is in full flow, tourists in Sosúa will pay a visit to High Caribbean disco too. The nightclub management is already negotiating with several music bands and artists. So various performances by music groups will take place. We can not emphasize this enough: High Caribbean disco is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully decorated clubs of the north coast. For Sosúa it's great that this club Sunday, January 7th open its doors again.
Maybe we should start a pool on when it will be closed again or perhaps when they kick out AD again

The Chinese virus infected the Western world with Chinese-style totalitarian politics. - Gladiator
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. – H. L. Mencken
High Caribbean was open last night. I could hear the music from my balcony! Don't count on news from Sosua News. They always get the story wrong.
