Everywhere you can arrange for daily cleaning and linens change. I paid 150 to 800 pesos for an additional unscheduled complete clean up and change depending on the property.

Scroll down to the bottom and read the last paragraph. This was a deal killer for me.

I guess I can do that, but you are already paying $65 a day for the room. I like the way Wilfried ran the hotel.

It sounds like they hit you with an additional 18% for tax on top of that once you get there.

    I don't like surprises.

Only cleaning the room every 3 days, is a tax I don't want to pay.

Across the street at El Rancho Hotel, big rooms, tv, fridge, key safe, pool, quiet courtyard, nice restaurant, $50 a night is what I paid in December, no hidden tax, cleaning daily.

    Better deal there.

Did they have any any restrictions on bringing guests in the room?

I stayed over at El Rancho my last trip.. Nice place, slightly outdated but a lot more charisma and personality than Hotel Alicia.. They arranged for a taxi to the airport on the way back and it was only 700 pesos..
