I guess if this Colombiana is working and free from other engagement she could consider a 12,000 pesos por una hora offer
‘Forbear to judge, for we are sinners all’
North coast got shut down yesterday due to the local authorities acting too fast on a severe weather alert. The alert was not meant to involve us, but the correction was issued after shutdown orders were initiated. Consequently we were all stuck with nothing to do. It rained moderately for maybe an hour. We’re all out now trying to makeup for yesterday’s boredom. It helps that KC and Philly are playing tonight.
Nice to read some updated Sosua news. I've received some texts and a few pics from the devastating rains that have been coming down in the DR, from San Francisco de Macoris to the intense flooding in parts of SD that have sent vehicles down the street in waist and chest deep water.
I'm assuming the greater Sosua-Cabarete-Puerto Plata region hasn't suffered the same damage and destruction.
As soon as I'm able to get back to traveling again after the leg gets better, I'm thinking a few weeks in Sosua might be just the ticket.
I am just a few weeks from celebrating my 70th birthday ...
Maybe a quick trip to Sosua would be suitable?
Or maybe a few nights in Barba Negra's "petting zoo"?
I'm still "Just A Lurker."

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. – H. L. Mencken
Funny how this thread was brought back to life, the OP is in Sosua now, probably doesn't even know
