    10/2007 - New Garden/What's the deal

Bringing a newbie for the 1st week of my 2 week stay and booked the New Garden for the week because he is a drunk and i can pin the business card to his shirt to get the moto to get him home from the casino.

But was quoted $50 per night inc. safe key and breakfast.

If anyone has had the breakfast there sould i just feed it to the strays or is ir actually half decent with a few beers.

    Feedback please. Thanks Boston Jim

Im not a big fan of the NG breakfast. I have had it about 10 times and only twice I liked it. The American was what I had and I believe its listed on the menu at 195RD. For slightly more you can walk to the Waterfront and get a FAR superior breakfast. Lou from the Shark Bar turned me onto the Waterfront for breakfast and I rate it the closest to a true US style breakfast I have found so far. It comes out fast too!

I guess the NG is taking on the price schedule of Casa Cayena as a little extra in the price and add a breakfast to it to try and add more to their restaurant business.

Hey if the breakfast is included use it as a starting off meal for the day and maybe get an early lunch if you cant finish the breakfast.
    Jimmy owes me a dollar!

Its cooked/smoothered in oil to order, fuck, I'm thinking 120-140p, I was'nt offered the package, & I paid $134 for 3 nights so close to the same, but you should see if he'll give you the deal minus breakfast, so you have the option to go where u want, or see if he'll include a chica breakfast? also I get up late, and they won't serve breakfast late 11-12.

Fuck, me and Lou do not have to order at the Waterfront. She just brings our shit. The Breakfast thing is i guess a compitition with the other place.

If the food sucks then he will need to clean the pool very well daily.

Guess i better go to the Playero and buy some butter. Cooking my breakfast in oil is a dead issue.

I found the breakfest there sucks. Go to the Britanica or the Waterfront.

Ok, I'm getting quoted $55/night including safe and breakfast. Is group consensus to ask for the rate without breakfast and just go somewhere else?

    Re: New Garden/What's the deal

maybe the fact that they are always overbooked made them look at their prices and see how much they could go up and still be almost full. I cant blame them if I ran the hotel and was always overbooked I would probably try to see about raising rates too.

    Re: New Garden/What's the deal

I was quoted the 55 a night as well. However, I responded back and inquired about the rate without breakfast. Wilifried responded with "I'll tell you when you get here."

I believe I paid about 45 a night in April with a 2.00 safe fee a night without breakfast. I didn't mention that I was a member of ISOC.

I e-mailed Wilfried yesterday and he replied that the ISOC rate is $50 per day with breakfast, so those of you who were quoted $55 need to say you are ISOC members.

The rice all over the floor really put the maids over the edge. Funny how 250 each made up for it.
